OMG Sarabe:eek: how many?
- Gorgeous!! I want another dog now!
They all look incredibly well trained, you have even got them posing for the camera!
What a lovely photo. :j They must keep you busy!
Thank you.
Yes they do keep us fairly busy. That pic is a couple of years old. The puppy on the left is bigger than them all now and sadly we had to say goodbye to the two oldest this year - the one hiding his face in the photo and the old girl who isn't in the pic. Since then we also have three new additions. We have ten Border Collies, the lurcher in the pic and a large sighthound (Borzoi).Wow I assume you have lots of land and a huge house
Not too huge but a bit of space and a nice rural spot.A dog with a behaviour problem needs help not punishment.0 -
wow nice dogs sarabe!! Is the lurcher a blue merle x? My mum has a collie lurcher, (we think!) fab dog but mad as toast!
My mutt Badger may well have some collie in the mix - she had a very collie face, but looks like her legs were sawn off at the knees! She is a clever little thing though.
My first ever dog was a fox terrier x collie, who I found straying when I was about eleven, and I had two collie crosses in my teens.
If circumstances were right, I would love to have more dogs, but as it stands it really would not be right for me to take any more on, sadly.0 -
nice collies ,it may help some people ,collies are prone to cancer ,espicially females due to hormones when in season ,lost one collie at 12 yrs and other one [11 years ] 4 week ago ,had her spayed after loosing first one ,after talking to vet but it must have been in her system , 11 days from feeling someing was wrong untill she died . thought I would be first ,really miss here ,i'm in lot of pain from major spine op. and was a comfort to stroke her as painkillers are slow to work. will get another after I get over it as house seems so empty , but will have to get a pup as have now 4 young grandchildren I want to grow up with the dog ,I'm lucky that I live in country with fields I can use beside house and walk with grandchildren and dog.I think in jan/feb when pups are dumped when novelty wears off is best time , and i'll be ready to start training it ,with love they will do anything [ if you have biccy as reward ]....zee0

The lurcher is most likely half collie, I guess the colouring could be from a merle.
They are all rescues so apart from a couple who I found out later where they had come from I don't know anything about their breeding.
All of them were gifted to me by their owners or a third party/rescue who had taken them in after the original owners couldn't cope with them.
Their loss - my gain.A dog with a behaviour problem needs help not punishment.0
