I got the "we will contact you in 7-10 days" bit.
Should be fun.
I fully expect a letter declining my application.0 -
I got rejected straightaway and got offered the chance to apply for a Vanquis card with a 39.9% interest rate.
Not sure why (already got a VA MBNA Amex card which I'm quickly paying back). Did apply for a FlyBe card a couple of weeks ago but have heard nothing from them and as far as I know, my credit record should be fine.
Going to check it just in case something untoward is there.0 -
I got offered Vanquis as well. Lord knows why as all my credit card accounts are full of lovely 0's. :beer:0

I was unable to find the card on moneysupermarket this morning, but I found it using dov's link. (!)
I have an egg card with a small limit, a currently unused Debenhams storecard, and a PO card with about 7k limit on it. Virgin have accepted me and offered me a limit of £7400
Egg have confirmed that they can credit a positive balance to my bank account at no charge :jMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Thanks for applying for a Virgin Credit Card.
We're delighted to say you're in!
Your new Virgin Card credit limit will be: £2900.
Your new card should land on your doormat in the next 7-10 days. Sign it on the back, call us to activate it and Bob's your uncle, you're up and running.
We hope you and your new card have lots of fun.

Hm, I hadn't applied at that point, so didn't know what my limit would be. I did mention that it would be due to a balance transfer.
'Also be aware there is no charge for returning a credit balance from an Egg Visa Card.'
Seemed quite a solid answer, not woollyMy TV is broken!

I just applied and got accepted! Couldn't find it on the moneysupermarket page, but used dov's link and it came up straight away!
Annoying thing is I just had to clear my 0% Lloyds card last month, but I have put stuff on it since intending to clear it this month when my monthly saver matures, so guess I will BT that instead.
Anyone know if a BT to a current acct will work with this one? used to do that yonks ago when I was a real stoozer, but not tried it for ages!
Thanks for help & advice on this one (and thanks to MSE for pointing it out in the first place!)
