    'illegal immigrants' dont actually get very much at all - just food vouchers I think for about £25-£50 a week depending on where thy are...

    Like I said I'm not against the benefits system at all and I think providing a safety net for people is great - what annoys me is when some people are better off on benefits (by the time you've got income support, WTC etc) than they are working full time - single childless people always end up supporting this which I think is unfair...but I dont think it would ever be fair to be honest however you did it...

    i've just been looking at jobs at Waterstones - as something to possibly get off the JSA - £5.75 per hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I loved working in a bookshop but waterstones have a reputation amongst bookshop staff as being the worst employers ever...

    Borders are supposed to be better and I think the pay is a bit more...

    Really :eek: arent they owned by a US company??

    I worked for an independent thats been going over 100 years - still seems to be there although its a niche thing so thats good!
