OH takes £1.50 a day for coffee and takes a packed lunch, they arent allowed to have a kettle:rolleyes: so he has to use the machines, he is having 6 cups a day at 25p which I do agree is alot.

Could he take a flask of coffee? That might not provide him with 6 cups, but could cut down the coffee by at least half?

Hi Lou, good luck with the debt. I'm afraid that surprisingly I have nothing constructive to offer except pervy comments :D But one thing I have observed is reference the lad's haircuts. Invest in a pair of clippers and give them No1s/2s all over. Will save you a fortune. Having short has never done me any harm, or any good for that matter :D

Seriously though, sounds like you have a plan. x

Went to bed feeling really uneasy last night after starting this diary, not sure why? It may also be down to watching a feature length adaptation of the Manson killings  I checked both doors were locked before going to bed............twice!

    Jobs for today
    • Reconcile all bank accounts to see just how much I have left for the rest of the month and how much I can throw at the cards (one is due tomorrow)
    • Check for MShops and Surveys
    • Find 10 items to Ebay and list
    • Check Quidco for cashback up for grabs
    • Do flylady for Tuesday
That is enough to be getting along with for now:D

We have progress on the coffee at work front, OH took £1.25 instead of £1.50 for coffee...........I gave him it in shrapnel so I dont think he noticed:rotfl:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Congrats on posting and good luck with your plan.

You could save some money on your tv/internet/phone by getting a bundles package. I pay £35 for XL tv package, broadband and landline with Virgin. I have seen Virgin advertise those three plus mobile sim for £26 but I am guessing it would be the very basic tv package and other hidden costs somewhere but might be worth you checking out what they have to offer.

I also wondered about the £50 you pay into your "emergency" fund, how much is in your emergency fund and could you stop paying into it for a little while?

Hope you don't mind me asking.

    Once again, good luck.

Hey have you thought about asking Toto for any advice on the drumming, I mean she may have some 'cheaper' contacts up your end.

    Thats for your reply Poosmate:smiley:

We are currently with Orange at £18 a month for Broadband and are looking into their package that includes line rental and calls, we can also use a 2nd line for free to make daytime calls but OH hasnt set that up yet. One of our mobile contracts is with Orange too but is in my name and the internet is in OH name I know that you can get a cheaper Broadband with Orange if you have a mobile contract so I think we have missed a trick there:mad:

I have flyladied my living room, porch and stairs already so far:T

Off to check banking now *gulp*

Toto has been great and given me some good advice already the boys really like their teachers and the location is convenient so I think that changing will be a non starter:o
