So I should have £414 left over at the end of the month I have pledged to send £400 off as mortgage overpayments but that plan will have to go on the back burner for now.:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I was wondering why you were looking for the SOA earlier, you'll get it sorted don't worry! Make the most of your hols while you can and get some money in now before you go back to work. Do you really manage to only spend £10 a month on haircuts for four of you? My DS needs his cut every four weeks or so at a fiver a time!Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I think you should budget according to your current income, then any extra you can just throw straight at a card, if you've never had it you wont miss it.
Presents are really high, that's 900 a year! I've already started checking out charity shops, ebay and sales for mine.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I did try to be sensible:D:T:T:j
Well the mobiles are for both boys contracts each £15 and £20 respectively, I am happy to pay this so I know they are safe when they are out and I can contact them:o
My and OH mobile bill is PAYG and about £5 for 4 months:rotfl:
I think the clothing budget can go for a few months as we all have plenty of winter clothes from last year......so long as the boys dont grow much again.
OH takes £1.50 a day for coffee and takes a packed lunch, they arent allowed to have a kettle:rolleyes: so he has to use the machines, he is having 6 cups a day at 25p which I do agree is alot. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Fortunately the boys haircuts are only about once every 8 weeks cause they wear there hair a bit longer (its the fashion apparantly) OH.......Whall clippers in the kitchen:D
I usually let mine get to desperate point so only about once every four months at about £25.
I am going to start selling stuff later this week so I can post any sales off before I go back to work. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I know presents seem high but that is for Christmas and Birthdays for all our family and OH's. I do try to get my bargains from Boots in the sales for the women and always look out for bargains throughout the year. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Could he take a flask of coffee? That might not provide him with 6 cups, but could cut down the coffee by at least half?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Lucky you then just wondered if it was realistic, I decided to get mine done every month or six weeks to celebrate DFness but now can't bring myself to spend money on it:rotfl::rotfl:. Such a scruff me:o.

If there's a hairdressing college near you they're usually a lot cheaper, mine's £4 if it's above the shoulder, 6 below. It takes an age, but the cut's often better because they concentrate more.
Does the vending machine have an option for just hot water? I know some of them do, then he can just take coffee and milk. Or does he drive there? It could be cheaper to get one of those kettles that work from a cigarette lighter in the car, then he can fill a thermos during breaks to last a couple of hours.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

There is a hairdressing college Ames, I have been in the past but the person I go to is a good friend and gives me Mates Rates already, I only ever go when I am desperate for my highlights in so I get a cut at the same time she does it for £25 which I think is about what the college charges anyway.
Good idea for the water only out of the vending maching..........just have to convince OH to go to the hassle of putting the coffee and milk in a cup:rolleyes::rotfl:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
