The day started with a beautiful blue sky but it started drizzling after lunch so had to get washing in off the line, it is now on the airer finishing off.
Sorted out cupboards and freezer and listed everything I have, that means I can cross off a lot of things from my shopping list this week :o
Made A loaf of bread and some iced buns (Kids off school - bored and always hungry)
DH started his holiday today so he has been busy decorating, bless
We can't afford to go away this year so we are going to have some days out next week.
Dinner tonight is Lemon Chicken from yesterday's roast, have it marinading in the fridge as we speak.
DD excited because she has a job interview tomorrow, she has been really down since being on job seekers they sent her on a course last week on how to apply for a job she was bored witless now they want to send her for retail training WTH ! She has already worked part time in a shop so why they are fobbing her off with that I don't know, She has a BTEC, plus she has to pay most of her allowance on bus fares, because there is nothing in Dumpstable she has to go to Luton
Phew! That feels better, nothing like a bit of a rant on this governments ineptitude.
Well got to go and prepare veggies TTFN :kisses3:
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Afternoon All

Had great news today - my doggie DOESN'T have cancer:j:j:j So happy about that.

The bad news though was I haven't got an interview for the job I went for. But I'll keep looking for full time work and applying all over the place.

Having pasties for dinner tonight, with left over olives from my lunch the other day. Had my watermelon & blueberries at work and a slim fast.

    Hope everyone's ok

Been having a really busy time. We had a 4th birthday picnic for DS2 yesterday at our local Botanical Gardens which was really nice. The weather was good and we invited whole families not just the kids. They played quoits and bubbles and then had a picnic lunch. I made this cake http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3092/ultimate-chocolate-cake which really was fantastic but more of an adults cake as it was rather rich for the kids. This week is back to swimming classes for DS1 and trying to sort various things out before we go to Wales next week to see the grandparents.

Scuzz - so pleased about your dog! We are at that awful stage of watching our 16yr old border collie and wondering how much longer he can go on. He's totally deaf and very wobbly on his legs. Gone off his dog food, but can be tempted by a little chicken and rice....

    Evening everyone :hello:

Have just sat down after watering the garden. I seem to have fed the window boxes rather well this year and they are blocking light into the house. :rotfl:Tomatoes are cropping heavily but no red ones yet.

OH took the day off and it was very warm and sunny so we holidayed at home and did some touristy things. If you can't beat em, join em N9Eav. :D Went to a local NT property (we are members) and walked round the lovely grounds. Had a very OS picnic by the shore and then set off for another island. It's really tiny (no cars) and the girls and the dog had a ball. That's 8 local islands we've done this summer. ;)

Tea was sausage, egg, beans and potato scones a la Pink Winged. Talking of our illustrious BG, she called today and is having a fabulous holiday. ;)

Girls have just gone to bed, OH has popped into the office and I am having a [STRIKE]wine [/STRIKE]break before tackling the kitchen.

So pleased all is well FE.
Hope things get sorted soon Marie.
Glad DD is better Elona. I think the le creuset is a real investment. I wouldn't be without mine.

    Take care

I hope your dog hangs in there. It's a horrible thought to think we could lose them. They give so much love but cause so my heartache when they do go. Sending a special pat to your dog

You go girl. :D Lovely sunny day today. Off to the mainland to visit a friend & then pick up DGS. Won $8  at Bingo last night. But the winner of the jackpot that went off last week brought a pavlova. It's an Aussie thing. :D So even though I had dessert at home, I had to have a piece.

beemuzed That is painful to watch. Scuzz glad your pooch is all in the clear.
    Elona Sounds a great idea.

    Sleep well, Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
