Okay I'll go and look at the list - I may even see what I can cross off just for a laugh!

Yours can't be any worse than mine... I can only cross off the stuff that isn't relevant because I haven't made it messy since last week, or the stuff I've done because it's on my (almost) dailies like kitchen surfaces & cleaning the bath/shower.

I'm going to try to make serious inroads into it this morning... particularly upstairs! Off to sort some laundry & have a quick S&S downstairs before having a proper blitz upstairs!

See you later... hopefully with a bit more done!

Welcome back DeniseNZ... I was wondering whethere you'd be back sometime soon...

Greenbee you have less on yours than I do on mine and your house is tidy whereas mine is a bombsite. Even Master W said my house was messy when he came to visit on Tuesday!

Morning everyone, just a quick one before I head off back to bed again. My darling dog Jet decided to get me up at 5am and I have been up since. Obviously Bear stayed asleep, as did lodgerdog.. DH was getting ready to go to work so I was pottering around with him moaning that I was getting in his way..hmm can't win!

Thank you for all your replies re. my problem and I certainly took them on board and here's the update on lodgercat and owner - spoke to her last night and told her what DH had said and asked her politely if she could possibly pay the vets bills as it has left me totally without any money till the end of the month. Well what can I say! She really did the dirty on me and turned it on me and made me feel guilty that I was actually asking her for money to pay for vets for HER cat. I had the tears, anger because she felt that DH didn't trust her integrity and felt that she wouldn't pay me next month, and basically feels like she has been piddled on from a great height when she is down as it is. Also she made a point of telling me that she had paid £1500 to the solicitor, yet again..it's not my fault she is paying a solicitor!. You haven't heard the best bit..She is now implying that lodgercat got ill at my place from fleas...eh??? Well that's not true as the vet said he has had this for 6 months or more, and he hasn't even been with me for 5 months.. We had the "he wasn't ill when he lived with me" and "he lost so much weight when he came to you" down to "now my baby is ill" Blimey talk about major guilt trip, I felt really !!!!! after talking to her, and she now hates my DH and reakons she can't come to the house when he is there now. But after a lot of huffing and puffing, and the excuse of no cheques she is paying me the money this weekend.. I told her to pay it through my bank and gave her my details.

I've also told her that she is to sign the cat over to me as of next month, she is to pay vets fees until then and then he becomes mine. I don't want this everytime he has to have medication for this.. So I've been looking into insurance for him for when he is fully better so that if anything happens to him then he is insured, as are the other pets in the house.

She texted me and told me she felt that her integrity and honesty was in question, and had DH never heard of compassion. I told him this and he said "not when it comes to money owing, and it leaves me short of money". She was still implying that lodgercat caught this illness at my house, but I can't imagine how when he had it before he came to me. I don't think she even realised he was ill.. Anyway I did find out it can be caught from a mozzie bite as well as flea bites, so he could have been bitten by a mozzie..

He is doing really well, has managed to eat two pouches of cat food now - one last night and one for breakfast just now. He was actually asking for it this morning, and he is really looking bright and perky now. But he won't be when he has his first tablet this morning..I think I will be the devil incarnate..lol

Back to bed I go now..

Oooh just counted all my yankee candle products and I have 43 wax tarts and 22 samplers..I didn't realise I had that many, think I had better stay away from that website. And I do apologise for being a terrible enabler by putting up Yankeedoodle.co.uk :)

Natty - hugs - some friend she sounds - at least it's hopefully sorted now though.

I've hung washing on the line, reloaded the WM, cleared the drainer and washed the dishes so I've made a start.

Hugs Natty - I guess it's only when there's a problem you find out what people are really like. She clearly has no concept of what it is like to be living on a budget and managing her finances - given what you've told us of her financial situation you'd think she'd have savings for this kind of thing. Anyway, she can certainly afford to be overdrawn more than you can, and it's her responsibility!

Julie - there's only me to make mess here, which probably makes it easier to control (sometimes!)

I think it might help the spider situation if I wipe the paintwork down and mop the floors with tea-tree, so once I've got upstairs tidy enough to be able to get to the floors and skirtings, I'll do that. I'll also wipe round the windows with it, just in case... But I know the most important thing is to get rid of the clutter that has started to accumulate again. Where does it come from?

I think you have answered your own question:p

    Thanks Crafty

One load of washing is in (and almost done), washing up is done, and I'm eating breakfast so I can then load the DW and get that done before I go. I've cleared a lot more off the desk, but as I've had quite a lot of paperwork to deal with recently, there's still progress to be made there - I can't quite get to it to wipe it yet! Loo and downstairs basin have also been done.

So once my breakfast stuff is put away and the washing hung out, my next target is to get the floors cleared upstairs without creating too much mess downstairs!

I'm also going to take my winter duvet an any dry cleaning back to Norfolk with me so that I can take it the laundry there and pick it up when I go back for the bank holiday, as it's much cheaper and better than what I can get down here!

I must muck out the car too...
