toots and spirit thank you :) just the sort of things I needed!
soappie, wow, that is some going if he's not usually a reader. The books are wonderful, I have only managed the time to read 2 so far. My boys were disappointed that the train was so close to us for the last few weeks but not on display :(
Dusty hope you have a lovely time! Thank you for the early birthday greeting ;)
greenbee have you tried the conker/clove oil I suggested for the spidders? I am not keen either, we had some huge ones on holiday and a massive TOAD we nearly brought home which was inside a shoe.
rach I think you have made the right choice

Well one more box packed and LOADS more flungered! I suppose flinging is what matters the most.

Ordered 2 roman blinds for our bedroom, they are chocolate and fake suede, unsure about them now as I haven't seen them. I wanted something with a little texture for our room as so far it will be very plain. Oh well fingers crossed they are nice. The window ledges in the house are extremely narrow being a prefab built and really seem to suit roman blinds. Apart from a new blind for the bathroom (one up will do for now, until I decide on what I want) I think we have every window covered with at least something......just need 3 rails for the boys rooms. I've discussed with DP and I think, if he and his brother can get most things moved next weekend with the trailer.....we can manage with van hire for just 1 day. We need a high sided Luton for the FF which is expensive. I hate moving!
One day I might be more organised...........

Not fussed about toads, but seriously phobic about spiders :o. I've got baskets of conkers at the top and bottom of the stairs, and ultrasonic/electromagnetic gadgets both up and down stairs.

There is one living in the kitchen - there's some boxing round the pipes to the radiators that has a gap at the bottom, but I don't think its the same kind (it never comes all the way out though...). I'm not sure whether these ones are coming in at the moment, or leaving, but suspect that the gaps in the floorboards are part of the problem. I know I need to get all the cracks & gaps sorted, so I think that if I do get redundancy money, some of it needs to be spent on getting these done. The kitchen, for example, is probably a 10-minute job for a carpenter to cut and glue some skirting round the boxing, but isn't something I could manage.

If I find anymore tonight, I know I'll end up just staying up and clearing the place out... so fingers crossed that I don't! Must go to bed now, so hopefully it will be uneventful and I can get up and get things done tomorrow.

I've got a whole week of lists plus packing to do before 11am, and a deal to close tomorrow for work! Oh yes... and a contract to read... think I might be a little over-optimistic!

SGT - How are things going in the sunshine?? Hope youre settling in well?

I'm still unpacking my 'boxes' but the LR is now a box free zone. :j I've settled in really well, but it is a 'trifle hot' (bit of an under statement), so I have only been venturing out in the late evenings when it is a bit cooler. We're going back to the UK tonight for my nephews christening on Sunday, then back home on Tuesday & like everyone else on here I haven't done my packing, :o I'm meant to be finishing off 5 knitted hedgehogs to keep the kiddywinks entertained but I've ended up on here instead. :o
Good luck with the job interview.

Happy belated birthday greetings to Nevaeh & Blimus DS :bdaycake:

Toots - Please can you sit down before you read the next part of this post, I don't want you to faint, please may I have a star for Monday, this is my first star ever!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j Unfortunately I will not have time to get any more this week but I am definately improving :rotfl:

Hugs to anyone in need, catch you next week. TTFN.

ETA. Hedgehogs will have to wait, I'm too tired, I am going to bed, I think I may have to sew them up when I am at the hairdressers on Saturday morning, I somehow don't think I will be allowed on the plane with a needle!!!!!!

:hello: Hello all. Good to see that you are all still flying hard . . .

Can't believe my name is still on the list - OMG it's been ages since I've been here.

After a couple of busy months things are settling down and I'm back to pottering around the house - have a load of things on Trade Me (NZs version of Ebay); am slowly chucking and flinging - will get there yet.

I'm hoping to get back into flying properly so plan to be here for the new week. :)

Pigpen - just saw on FB that your DS, GF and baby are back near you - that's wonderful news. I hate having my two big boys living away from us although DS2 is home for two days . . . we will take him back tomorrow.

    Morning All

Toots - his mother!! - you don't want to get me started!

Have wonderful holidays Serena, sunnygirl, dusty and anyone else.

I haven't looked what's on today's list yet but I haven't done much off any of the lists this week although I don't seem to have stopped. I still haven't got to the library so will def need to do that today and go to Mr Ts to pick up my Tesco direct order.

Okay I'll go and look at the list - I may even see what I can cross off just for a laugh!

    Have a good day all
