Creditors have beaten me

Well they have done it,been trying to stay positive and strong throughout the whole process of sorting my debts, but the creditors should now feel very proud of themselves,I had a bit of a breakdown this week, felt suicidal and now ended up on Prozac.Hope they feel good about what they have driven me to.To make matters worse,I've quit my job (what little work I did because of illness)
Life stinks.

Sounds like you really have hit rock bottom. You have to keep telling yourself it's only money, and that it'll get sorted one way or another. Just take care of yourself, and be strong. Are you already in contact with cccs/payplan? You need to find someone who'll fight your battles for you for a little while.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad news, my thoughts are with you and I hope things pickup. As fairylights said, it's only money. Stupid paper stuff the government makes when it wants, it doesn't mean diddly squat - the really important things in life are still free :)

Oh dear, sorry to hear of your stress and worry , is'nt there anyone you can talk to or help you ?
debt collector's etc can be BULLY'S I have had many sleepless nights in the pass. I went to see DEBT SPECIALST AT C.A.B She was very good and even court orders she helped me go back to court and reduce payments.I am trying to think of the debt specialist the goverment have set up its all FREE ADVICE and I believe they do a great job for people like you & me.Will search web and post it later. I know its hard but if you have no money then they can't have it, try and stand upto them... write or phone to all creditors saying you have been in touch with C.A.B and they are going to help you and they will hear from them in due course, this will get them off your back for a little while. GOOD LUCK try not to worry I know easier said than done.

have you thought about going bankrupt ? do you have your own home ? this was suggested to me for £365 I could wipe out £7,000 debt, I know people who have gone bankrupt and have been discharged within 6months and now got bank accounts and credit cards and Loans etc. I found it hard to believe but was told the banks etc think you have learnt your lesson and will give you overdrafts etc, I know if anyone asks if you have been bankrupt you must declare it....

I watched a tv programme on Thurs called the Street. It was about this man, who was getting on in years and he lost his job. He became depressed and suicidal. In fact he was determined to kill himself because his wife wouldnt get his life insurance of £36,000 unless he died before he was 65. I didnt see all of it but his family were absolutely horrified and the money didnt matter at all to them. The only thing that mattered to them was still having him around. (Of course, he didnt kill himself in the end). So although the debt is a dreadful thing, you are still much more important and valuable to your loved ones than any money. So please dont think about any silly suicidal thoughts. i expect you'll get lots of good financial advice on here. I hope that life starts looking up for you.

    BIg hug to you

If it helps take the phone out of the wall and have the mobile on "discreet" or whatever your next up from silent setting is. Maybe you can get a carrier bag or something to put all the letters you recieve into after you have quickly scanned them and have it by the front door, so you can take them to your advisor and not having them "in your face" I read somewhere that Feng Shui dictates that if you have the bad things near the door good luck comes in and washes over them. Dont know how true that is, but makes me feel a bit better! :D
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
