When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :j
Good morning lovely dfw's, Hope you all have a great weekend. Hugs to all the poorlies and anyone feeling down xx and welcome to any new posters.
List for today

Morning all,
I haven't posted all week because I started my new job on Monday, and haven't really been able to think about anything except that

) and of course animals and plants have still been cared for.
But hooray, today it is Saturday :j
I will:
Check online banking
Pay in cheque from consultancy work
Sort out receipts etc that relate to it so I don't have too much of a panic next tax return time
Meal plan and shopping (won't need much)
Sort out big freezer to see what I have got in there  and make room for mangetout and runner beans that I must freeze today
Tidy house
Pre-prepare some meals for in the week.
Take it easy and have a nice day at home

I have been wanting to have lie in for ages and now when DD is still snoring I have been awake for last two hours . BF can't be with us as due to nice weather he is working.
Anyway I have lots to think about as BF offered to pay off my loan so that I wouldn't need to go BR. My intial reaction was no but now I am thinking how that would benefit both of us (we need to buy a house and me BR it is so not going to happen)
Soo list for the weekend:

In case you're wondering SM, I'm not being sarcastic!
Today I feel wonderful as I got my first proper night's sleep in a week (do you think the three glasses of cold white wine helped?) Not managed to do much DFW for the day yet, but have a good list of things on the go:- Check online banking
- Update spreadsheets
- Update signature
- Free scratch (a rare 50p)
- Return a lot of Dooyoo ratings, suggest a new product and write a review for my new shower gel
- Complete any surveys that come my way
- Bought wholemeal pittas/houmous and tomatoes for cheap lunches next week (lunches 'til Friday for about 70p a day!) I also got a nice bag of Fairtrade coffee, which makes for a luxurious brew at ~20p a cup. Pret a Manger? Get outta here!
- [STRIKE]Make a slow cooker chili con carne for tomorrow with lots of seasonings and some Fairtrade dark chocolate for a touch of luxury![/STRIKE] Should be ready by 9pm

- Have a nice relaxing dinner with the GF - pollack and prawn stew in a reduced white wine and home made fish stock with freshly baked bread
- Consider booking tickets to the Good Food Show (have found a money off code and would be willing to eBay some theatre tokens to pay for them)
