    hi dotty,
i just read your diary from the first post to this one and all i can say is wow your such an inspirationn to me. glad that you have sorted things wtiht the CCCS. you have shown amazing strength of character through the last few months i am incredibly jealous of the way you have held it all together.
im a bit depressed tonight after sorting out my finances and realising that i was in more debt than i had thought and hadnt paid off as much as i thought but your diary has cheered me up no end.
    kindest regards

Hey Obi and Mrs.A - Mrs.A i too felt really depressed when i sat down and went through the figures - i felt so stupid for letting it get that bad in the first place - but you've done what weve all done on here and faced up to reality - now things can only get better! Dont get me wrong as you will see/read on here we ALL have our up's and down's and things are sent to try us but once youve had youre lightbulb moment theres no going back - someonce else has a diary on here (sorry cant remember who at this moment in time!!) that says 'debt free by 40', well im 34 this August and I would like to aim towards that myself!! My DMP says that I should be debt free in just under 10 years (would be 43/4 by then) but ive got high hopes - and lots happens - good and bad over 6 months! never mind 10 years so im trying to keep positive on that one...........Ive just applied for the Natwest Step account as ive got a basic account with Lloyds but only a 'hole in wall' card, Natwest offers a solo card i think?? cheer up - you can always talk things through on here with us!!

Obi my dear!!!! Youre no failiure!! Youve been a source of inspiration to me since we first crossed keyboards on here!! seems like ages ago but its not that long is it?? Youve helped me loads especially as we have the shops in common - we can both understand the average days crap youve gotta put up with!!

    Keep it up hun

    love dotty xx

Come on now Obi and Mrs A. Dotts is right. If she can do it then you two have to keep trying. Looking at figures never makes anyone smile they would always want more. I din't win the lottery either.
Obi looks like you had a fun but cheap MSE DFW party last night, nearly joined in but had packing to do.:T
    New week and new challenges!!
    Love to all,

Hello yall! signed and returned acceptance of DMP with CCCS today!! The CCCS recommended trying to send some kind of token payment whilst your DMP is being set up, I have also done this - the lowest being a fiver the most £20 to a creditor who normally gets £360 per month!! - I also had to send the CCCS income details etc...........have posted everything off today and just wait to hear whats next?

Felt a lot better for doing it - a bit scared as to how they are all going to react - you hear terror stories of them ringing you at all hours etc or taking you to court to get charging orders!! so im a bit nervous.

Also feeling a bit down about the business books as although i spent most of yesterday on them i feel no more organised than before i started!!

Hope everyone else is ok..............dotty xx

Glad you are feeling better.Wish I was up your way,I`d certainly have a go at those books for you.Talking of which had a big fat demand from the inland revenue today.Really needed that as I was having one of my``wish I could lay in bed all day,the world makes me so anxious ``days.

Anyway it turns out that my accountant ain`t done the books yet and the IR have based the amount on year 2004 which was a corking year.Wish I was doing that level of trade now!Anyway he tells me that he will do the books this week which should shave off some of the figure they are asking for!

Hi dotty, glad you're feeling cheery. Plod on with the books - it's a pain in the behind but feels a lot better onvce they're done. Have you worked out a system to make sure you keep up to date from now on?
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

    Well done dotty. :j

You're going to get a few phone calls from the a**holes but your strong enough to deal with it. Just tell them you know your rights and you are dealing with the CCCS and you only want correspondance via writing.

Hope they all accept the offers without too much fuss! :)

You pinch away love, that's what I sent it for! Works for me, hopefully it'll give you some ideas too.
