650 RPoints back is the only cashback offer I've seen - OSPS also do a Recommend-A-Friend Scheme so if you know anyone that bought from them in the past you can split a £20 (highstreet voucher?) between you.

I cannot understand how a phone seller can make any money out of these deal's.

You only need to send in your 6th and your 12th month bill and they send you your cash back, so you get a brand new phone worth over £100 and 200+200 mins a month and all it costs is £30 for a year.

It sounds to good to be true, which does make me very suspicious.

As has been pointed out they want you to fail - as a sideline my deal with them last year was for cashback at 6 & 10 months the 'offer to treat' stated 3x £17.50 and 4 x £17.50 however the invoice (the contract) states 4 months cashback - nothing about half, so I have just put in my claim (by recorded delivery) for £140, I'll wait and see but suggest people check what the paperwork says

The sony ericsson deal doesnt mention a refund the nokia one does, so i assume the sony deal is worked differently.

A neighbour got this one as a Christmas present for his daughter - deal is the same as the Siemens one

Cashback on Siemens CX65 (OVP Vodafone Anytime 200, £30 per month) is £75 in month 4, £120 in month 8, £120 in month 12 (from the OSPS paperwork in front of me). In addition, there is 1/2 price line rental for the first 3 months paid by the network .

    Kind regards

    Mr B
  • Or you could just use the tart alert service but put "Nokia Cashback" in, instead of a credit card  ;)

    Ssssh

    I like it LOL ;D ;D ;D

Just have to hope I get the phone now, I've had a temporarily out of stock email.

Another request for info on how to unlock this Nokia 6600 on Orange. Anyone had any success?

Not sure which type and code (V2, griffin, etc) to use with the code generator programs and whether or not they are reliable.

    Thanks

Got my C500 the other day. So far no real complaints. Ordered on the Tuesday, arrived first thing Wed., all free.

Cashback seems straight forward but obviously they rely on not everyone getting their money back.

I think sometimes people need to remember that OSPS is in the business of making money. They get £238 commission for getting me on OVP Voda 200 and £90 for selling me the C500. If I get all my cashback, they in effect make £13 which is probably how much it cost to send it me. Now if you include staff costs, they will be making a loss.

They did put me on their "3 months free insurance" even though I said I didn't want it but I can forgive that given it does say I can cancel the Direct Debit (after 3 months) and someone will call to confirm I want it. They gotta try and milk money from me somehow!

The way I look at it is that you don't get something for nothing. I entered into this deal knowing it is a bit of a risk. I'll do the obvious things like sending it recorded delivery and double check the dates with them. As long as I stick to the terms, I expect them to uphold their end of the deal. If I don't (eg. I forget) then I won't be bitching about it.

I've read much about their customer service problems and again I sometimes wonder what people expect. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys! If you want better service, you'll need to pay for it.

Lastly, the phone itself is fantastic and I recommend it to anyone.

to unlock, go to trycktill. then put in provider orange, then code will come up auto, then put in emi no of your phone, it is a 15 digit no inside your phone. click on find code. you will get 7 codes. try 7 first. it should unlock, if not try 1.
you get only 5 goes, then phone wil block permanently.

    Zubair or any1,

Any idea what the correct "Boxserial" setting is for the
6600 on Orange for the Trycktill code generator?
