I cannot understand how a phone seller can make any money out of these deal's.

You only need to send in your 6th and your 12th month bill and they send you your cash back, so you get a brand new phone worth over £100 and 200+200 mins a month and all it costs is £30 for a year.

It sounds to good to be true, which does make me very suspicious.

Intense competition would be the short answer!!

Also OSPS probably have a large stock of these handsets depreciating in value day by day - these deals could be sold at least than cost (to cut their losses and offload the handsets). I have a 6600, very good phone - battery life not so great but other than that it's got, camera, video, large clear screen & you can download all sorts of applications for it - including one that lets you use your phone as a remote control!

I cannot understand how a phone seller can make any money out of these deals.

Many mobile phone users are stupid and feckless, and will forget to apply within the small windows available to get the money back. Just like with many deals, if you are smart and put in a little effort, you will win at their expense.

Many more have no idea how to control their expenditure and will gabble away for hours every day, exceeding the call allowances easily.

I dare say that such a "novelty" phone as this is likely to attract the younger crowd which is better at spending than saving.

There are also horror stories on this site about the company, which has your money - make sure you send what you need to send to them by recorded delivery.
