Getting married next year (children soon to follow I hope!) so this is my last chance!
I like the Smart Roadster (water leak problems) and the Mazda RX-8 (costly in fuel and oil) - but want something reliable and cheap(ish) and roadster-ish! It'll only be kept for 12m or so.
Any suggestions??? Thanks

get a new golf like me, that will certainly give you a crisis0

How about spending £1000?! You can get some really nice cars in this price bracket. Just need to be prepared for the insurance cost! The total in repair bills won't set you back anywhere near what spending £5k on a newer car would though.0

Sorry - can't stand golf's and it's hardly an 'impractical' car!
Haven't got a budget in mind at the mo - trying to pay for a wedding and deposit for a house too, so it won't be much.
Fancy a Frogeye Sprite too - will look into those....hmmm, MX-5, or Honda S2000????0 -
Easy - Honda S2000 - Honda relaibility, bullet proof high revving engine, great handling and a lot of fun. Plenty about from £6000 to £28,000 depending on your budget. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds post 2006 models are the best.

yup mines been awful, really really bad, its given me a crisis!0 -
Might be slightly above budget but I think a Lotus Elise would be hard to beat. I suspect at the cheap end the depreciation will be low to zero0

Mazda MX5 ???"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
