I was thinking the same thing, some of the recommended methods seem a little overly complicated. I, and alot of people apparently, use irfanview for resizing photos all at once, very easy and quick: www.irfanview.com
Thanks for this. I suppose there are lots of different ways to resize pictures because different people find certain ones easier to use than others.

Hopefully, as there are different methods described here people will find something of use to them.

For resizing pictures I use The Gimp image editor, this is free and can be downloaded from www.gimp.org.

For information on using it to crop, resize and compress photos try here www.erns-eporium.co.uk/images_files/autocopy.htm

Very powerful piece of software GIMP but can be very tricky to get to grips with at first, its not the sort of program that is instantly user friendly but is well worth sticking with if you need a good free Photoshop style software. I've been using it a lot lately but it took me a few days of reading help files and learning from mistakes before I felt comfortable with it.

In photobucket when you are viewing the thumbnails all I do is:

right click on the actual image and copy the thumbnail i want and then paste it in the ebay listing description box (designer not html)

it shows there nicely the same size as the thumbnail. I add a note saying clicking the photos will enlarge the image (this takes prospective customers to photobucket for a large view of the image they clicked.

Thanks OP for this useful thread. It has saved me a lot of money on listings.

However, I have a couple of questions.

First, how do I list items into my shop using TL?

Second, how do I revise items using TL once I have uploaded them to eBay?

    Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how TL connects with a shop. I'll try to find out.

You revise your items within Ebay as you would usually.

Ok, thanks for your help. I tried importing my unsold items and relisting, but I changed a lot of things, so doubt I will get my original insertion credited.
  • if you dont want to register for photobucket (personally, i find it annoying) you can use a site like http://img.listbetter.com/

you get the codes to link to the image after you upload
