Here's a simple way to add a "free" image to your listings which also
allows you to control the size of the image itself.
Just paste the code below into the "Add your own HTML" section when you are creating your description....
<IMG height=600 src="ADD YOUR IMAGE LINK HERE" width=800></DIV>
This will add the image as part of your description so no charges will be added by Ebay.
to change the size of the image just change the height and width numbers to your requirements!0 -

Good tip milliejon, however as lillybell pointed out Photobucket can produce code for adding to eBay which is better than the initial TAG html code.
Photobucket can create clickable thumbnails images that take you into a brand new window displaying the larger original picture you uploaded. This makes the eBay auction page quicker for viewing/downloading and also doesnt take up much 'real estate' on screen so your designs are much more neater and compact/concise.
HOWTO:-
In Photobucket, put a tick in the select box, under the image you want to use on your auction. Imagine the original size in pixels is 800x600, but we want a smaller picture/thumbnail to represent this ie like the one that is being displayed in our current Photobucket album.
Here's the tip:-
At the bottom of the page is a button 'Generate HTML and IMG code'
Press this button and you now have several versions of HTML code generated for you, that can be pasted into your HTML code for your auction.
I recommed you to use the top version of the code
ie 'HTML clickable thumbnails for Ebay, Livejournal, MySpace'
There's even a preview button to demo what happens.
To remove the blue 1 pixel border you get on the thumbnail modify the code adding the parts in bold and also to identify to your sellers that the image is clickable caption the image also with a bit of text.
Here' an example.
<a href="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/d300/ebaydude/ls120-picture.jpg" target="_blank">
<img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/d300/ebaydude/th_ls120-picture.jpg" border=0></a>

there are way easier methods for all this guys.
- Get Turbo Lister as described.
- Download Microsoft's Image Resizer Powertoy from http://!!!!!!!.com/2yt2
- Get all your large photos in one folder, select the lot then right click on one, and "resize images" to an appropriate size (e.g. custom, 550 x 550 will ensure none are larger than 550 in any dimension while keeping the aspect ratio)
- You're almost all on broadband, so whack all the resized images to your free webspace via FTP (easy - read the technical forum on this site)
- navigate to your broadband webspace - something like http://yourISP.com/~yourUserName
- one-by-one, click the image on the web server, once it's loaded simply right click it, Copy, and then paste it into Turbo Lister's preview
PERFECT WYSIWYG image additions without copying URLs or messing with the HTML
Note - if you make one of the images clickable as a link, then go into the HTML and just add to the img tag:border=0

can i just ask a quick question - how often do ebay have the cheap or free listing days!0
-
They vary. There have been two in the past month or so, but nothing for ages before that.
You're probably best off using Turbo Lister to get your items ready and then list them when a cheap day comes along.
However, these cheap days do encourage lots of people to list, so there is a lot of competition for your items from other sellers.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
