If you paid sufficient NI Conts whilst working, your ESA may be conts based, and you will be able to continue receiving the payment whilst your partner is working. However, working sixteen hours you will be borderline, your award paperwork should tell you whether your award is conts based or just income based.

DLA is only available for those that have been unwell for three months, and where there is an expectation that the condition will last for another six months. However, you can apply before the initial three months, but you will not receive any payment until after this qualifying period.

Definitely apply for LHA and CTB, the worst they can say is no!

I find trolls like mark2117 pretty good for stress relief. Maybe we could get him on prescription from the NHS? ;)

Talking of (free) prescriptions, you may be entitled to Working Tax Credits once your partner is at work.

Thank you again its income based. I have my assessment tomorrow as ive been receiving for 13 weeks now so maybe a bit longer than I thought. The last few months have been a bit of a blur but thankfully I seem to be coming out of the other side now with my personality in tact luckily.

I agree haha... although I report as some may be offended or upset by his comments, especially when they could be demoralised already by being in the position of having to claim benefits to survive.

Dya know I think your right. Will scratch my partner going back to work, it would certainly be easier. Then we can both sit on these lazy backsides you keep going on about watching tv and let you carry on paying?

    Simples!

Not really helping your case are you? All you are doing is encouraging two people to remain un employed.

OR maybe I could just have a baby? £190 would do alot right now.

Actually I think that would be more of an interpersonal - social disorder - glad to hear how you feel about him - can't always tell on message boards. probably so arrogant he thinks non of this will ever happen to him.

    Good Luck
