Did yours come from O2?, there seems to be quite a few discrepancies on whats supplied.....vodafone supplied a stand and an AV cable....strange...lolI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

By a stand do you mean a portable speaker?
If so, Vodafone might have been offering it as an extra.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
sorry, by a stand I mean the little plastic J shaped thing that opens out to hold the Nokia when you want to set it on its side so you can watch movies etc...I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Hi Torby,
Sorry to crash this thread (by the way I answered your tax question on the other part of the forum so have a look).
I don't have the answer for your question, but I am also thinking of getting the Nokia 5800. could you please tell me how happy are you with it? Is the internet easy to use?0 -
ANY...thanks YET AGAIN!...lol
Nokia is great to use, have always used Nokia phones, so even though its "touch screen", the Nokia layout is still familiar.
As regards the internet, its pretty straightforward, though my daughter is keeping me right about how I get my email...the other great thing about internet usage is the fact its "wi fi" as well....means when at home, Starbucks, McDs, Wetherspoons etc I can go online without going through my network provider....plus its really fast connection as well.
The only thing you need to watch is your providers T&Cs for internet....O2 offer unlimited browsing, that doesnt include downloads, I queried watching YouTube and Iplayer as in my experience to watch those things, in "streaming" mode, the file is downloaded, at least it registers as data coming your way, O2 have told me thats not classed as a download (will tell you when I see my first bill)....Vodafone have Unlimited as well, but its capped at 500Mb per month...which is adequate.
You asked about internet, I have to say its fine, no problems (yet), the Nokia 5800, I find it a very easy to get used to type of phone, especially if you've had Nokias before( no doubt if you google it, you'll see loads of others who had problems with it...but you can find that with nearly every other make of phone on the market!...Sony, Motorola etc)
I like it, my daughter likes it...internet is good...although a friend got a good deal recently from 3 (we left cos their coverage was rubish at times)
Nokia E63 Black
With the £15 Internet Texter plan, you get

he doesn't talk much....lolI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

thank you0 -
Hi, also sorry to crash your thread, but since you had the same phone on 2 separate networks, are they both locked to the respective networks you bought them from?
I want to get the 5800 on PAYG and wondered if getting a network specific one would mean it was linked?
Many thanks and I'll let you know about accessories when I get mine__________________________________
