Will this work with an Apple Mac iBook? Am not anything approaching a techie, and am asking for someone on the bus!

Looking at the specs, as they are - no. Most hard drives you can use with Mac and PC - there is probably a way round it with reformatting for the Mac OS but not being a Mac user I can't comment further.

    The £5 voucher you get:

Is it a straight forward £5 gift voucher or £5 of a £50+ purchase (or similar)+

    thanks.

Here's a quick scan of the voucher, inc. a close up of the T&C's:

Thanks to the OP, been after one of these for a while. Got mine in Watford they had 2 more left so doubt if they will be around for long. I also got the £5 voucher which will come in handy!
  • Thanks to the OP. Picked up 1 at Basingstoke this afternoon (plus the free £5 voucher previously mentioned). There was 1 left after i had purchased mine.
  • Had the last one today from my local store,
and was given 2 £5 vouchers,as sales assistant
presumed it was a voucher for each £30 you spent

Didnt have the heart to correct him though :D:D:D

Can any one confirm if this drive has a 1 year or 2 year warranty
as the info on the disc says both

    cheers

    Jools

Just purchased 3 from the Cardiff store, they came stright in at 10am, I was in the store at 10.05 they were taken off the pallet and I grabbed them.

One's for me, the other is for my son and the other one is spare or an Ebay item.

Was not given any vouchers but did take out there insurance for my drive at £24.99 for 3 years accidental, no quibble cover.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Dunno if this will be the same for all stores... but I bought one of these HDD's at the Lincoln store today, and I was given a £5 gift voucher with my purchase... have read all the T&C's and the only major one seems to be that it has to be used between 03/05/06 - 17/05/06... - just hope they have another good deal on then as well :-D - The voucher is stamped an the back "Lincoln #52", so I guess they're a limited run of some sort...
Was it you that just beat me to the last one yesterday? Next time i see i am running into the store ;)

    £24.99 for cover?!

Sorry but you got conned :( - AFAIK these would have to come with at least a 2 year manufacturer warranty as standard!
