DSG Product Replacement Vouchers - NOT HAPPY WITH AMOUNT

Perhaps if you weren't having it repaired by those "experts", it wouldn't have had so many problems?
well yes
the ribon cable was replaced because they failed to install it correctly and there was a screw through it or something, the reprt is very scruffy and hard to read
but what other choice do you have when its free.
better than paying anywhere
and northernsparky
you would do well to forget everything about the eu directive, if you quote that you will look like a moron to anybody with the faintest clue about uk lawBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
I have seen a few people come in with replacement vouchers from when they purchased a 100hz CRT for £899 to be given £1400 for a 100hz plasma/lcd tv a few times. You guys have read too much bad press on the stuff.
If you had a laptop, spent £400 on it, paid £7 a month and after 14 months you danaged the screen or spilt something on it, you would have spent £98 on the warranty to which they will either repair or replace. You stick that £98 in a jar, and tell me you can get a new laptop for £98.0 -
Am I the only one who can buy laptops which don't fall apart every 10 minutes??
Seriously, it seems the people who have no clue about any kind of IT manage to need replacement allsorts every two Months, motherboards in particular.
Those of us with knowledge of IT manage to simply get on with it and use the machine for years, the odd upgrade here and there, the odd reformat and reinstall.
I've had a couple of defective power sockets to fix and a few keys fallen off, a couple of duff CD/DVDRW drives to replace but that's about it, all nil or low cost.
A friend of mine had a defective screen which I replaced for £65 (new one off Ebay).
Maybe it's just because I don't shop in DSG shops.0 -

Excpt they outsource accidental repairs and the company they use is very very very very very very sloppy and very very very very very slow in everything they do.
So unless they have changed their providers recently, you are FAR better off providing your own insurance for you laptop.0 -

Well they should not be slow, as they have a 21 day guarantee which states that if they cannot get parts or repair it inside 21 days, they will send vouchers out for a new one.0 -
They also use something called "depreciated credit" to get the value of the vouchers, which is how they got to the amount they offered the OP.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0
