Have you contacted the seller yet - will they put in the claim for you? There is no need to run outside

Hi Hayley,
Thanks for your email about the pigs - we were really disappointed to hear
how Nathaneal has been broken during transit. Because you left positive
feedback quite a while ago, we assumed all was fine and we're not sure we
still have the receipt as we are in the process of moving house and throwing
things away as we go. We'll have a look for it here, but to be honest I
doubt we've still got it, I wish we'd found out sooner that there was a
problem. How about if we refund you an amount towards buying a new Nathaneal
on ebay?
I didn't leave positive feedback as I hadn't picked it up from the post office - I can't get to the post office during the week as work away from home and I was away for the easter weekend.
Have emailed back saying would rather get a complete refund but no response as yet0 -
Oh I have 2 of the cousin wesley pigs which are supposed to be very valuable. Dont want to sell them on ebay though for this exact reason - frightened they get damaged in post!0
-
supposed to be? there's one on Ebay for £425.0

If Sir Nathaniel has a red tie rather than a red bow tie they are seriously rare0

i'll have to check mine next time i'm at my mums. If mine has a bow tie and my sisters has a tie then it's unlucky sis !0

It might help if you provide the seller with photos of the damage. In any case, you should keep all the packaging, since RM might want to see it to decide whether it was packed well enough for them to have to accept liability. Special Delivery does include cover for ceramics (if suitably packed) whereas other postal services do not.
royal mail will want to see the damaged pig,all the wrapping, plus proof of value, and proof of payment, the seller will have to make the claim but make sure they keep copies of all the paper work as royal mail have lost mine three times in the past,Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
