I searched sold prices in Kings Langley (WD4) and I can't find anything that sold for exactly 335k in 2008. Either they gazundered or something else happened.

(I used nethouseprices.com, where you can search by year, but I might have missed it.)

I just had a quick look, wonder if it's this one:

    Well done!

Bit near the railway line, Kirsty never mentioned that.

They needed to make it sound like they found a real gem rather than somewhere that others wouldn't want to live.

To be fair the house has potential, other houses in that road have been massively extended, so they could be some growth there. There are a lot of detached houses in the road, a good sign in value terms.

It would have been more honest of Kirsty to point out the downsides - like the railway line and only one bathroom. She also could have made more of the "fire sale" aspect.

Do we know that this is definitely the house? I need to go to Kings Langley this afternoon, so could do a drive past...

No idea at all... just the amount matched and on maps.google.co.uk I couldn't tell as there's no Street View.

I'll go have a nose later then and report back this evening. The house had a very distinctive front door so it should be easy enough to tell.

Just watching LLL on 4oD. My first thought is "middle-class tw@ttery". Comfortable people agonizing over the wealth of options they have to make themselves even more comfortable. Good luck to them, but not exactly interesting telly, is it?

How about a weekly hour-long programme about real people and their real housing problems?

I'd like to see Kirsty and Phil help an ex-smackhead find their dream property on a budget of £12k.

  • What were you all doing watching that when Midsomer Murders was on? As well as 3 corpses and a ludicrous plot, there was actual nekkid wimmins- boobs and everything. My nans might have been watching!
    They are an EYESORES!!!!
