Snap - mine are colour coded, easy as hell to fit and were cheap as hell too. Not expensive and in no way a replacement for your eyes but quite handy.hewhoisnotintheknow wrote: »i have fitted several sets, 30 quid from ebay, euro car parts. reccessed into the bumper, easy!
Having parking sensors doesn't mean you don't have to disengage your brain - but as you can't actually see your rear bumper it's always helpful to have something extra.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
I do take your point on this, the main reason why we want them is because my wife has arthritis in her shoulders,so all the nobs on the forum if you cant give a sensible answer PLEASE DONT reply.
Still don't understand this? Are you saying that she can't look over her shoulder when driving? If so then that could be really rather dangerous as how does she check her blindspots when driving along?0 -

I know that's not a very feminist thing to say... but whatever, I'm not a feminist. I've always been pretty bad at parking (especially parallel) but it's got A LOT worse since I got pregnant. I think pregnancy has given me even more girly hormones!! I don't even bother trying to parallel park anymore unless there's at least a two car space. I'd rather drive around until I find some bays or 2 spaces, than risk hitting someone else's car, or put myself through the stress of trying not to. It doesn't help that I'm only 5'1 and I can't see anything of the car's bonnet past the windscreen wipers.

I used to be rubbish at parking..I will freely admit it! But one day...I decided to get it sorted. Got my OH (who can park) to sit with me and talk me through what I should do, and after a bit of practice it became so much clearer! Its actually much easier to drive forward out of a space than reverse out of it (safer too!) when you leave too. Have complete sympathy though if you have a bit of 'hidden' boot so it is hard to judge when to stop for a back wall...but bit more worried about people who can't see (or judge) the front of your car...how do you know when to stop in any situation on the road?
