Yes, but it depends what the misconduct was and what jobs you are applying for and how they interlace thats the key.

Do you mean if you were dismissed for misconduct?
Or if you received a disciplinary warning for misconduct during previous employment which did not result in dismissal?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
my bosses are trying to use threathing behavior against me.0

I can say 100% that regardless of reason, i would not employ someone with misconduct in their work history.0

Looking at your other thread, it seems that you have been suspended because someone made a complaint against you that you were swearing and/or using threatening behaviour to a colleague?
If that is the case, you need to first concentrate on the disciplinary and minimising the damage. If you are dismissed, it will be for gross misconduct, and yes, that is almost certainly going to make it more difficult for you to find another job.I'm a retired employment solicitor. I hardly see how that is fair to be honest. Lots of people get in trouble for silly things, as misconduct can cover lots. When I was 16 I once lost £5 from my till when I worked for Mcdonalds, that counted as misconduct and I got a warning.
Should I be banned from the world of work forever? People need second chances. There are often reasons behind things and peoples behaviour.0 -
so does that mean when i lose my case on monday/10/august i might aswell get a gun a blow my head off.........0

just ignore that post, not all bosses are like that! I am sure you would get another job - think about it, depending on what age you are, you are not going to spend the next 10/20/30 years out of work, are you?
You WILL get another job, even if you do get let go.:beer:0 -
thanx louise.
i think personally the case against me is a close case, but i have to fight my corner.
i am lucky in 1 way i have a job at the nhs in the evenings and i can ask for extra shifts and just keep my head down and hopefully a full time position will come up there.0
