Definite wind up methinks.
Either that or a severe case of 'LALALALA I'M NOT LISTENING' syndrome!

Yeah, I'm starting to think this lady doesn't want to listen. I suspect she thinks she has a way round it all that means she doesn't need to really cut back, but the idea that she and her partner are £100k in debt just isn't even denting the suface.
We're not all hair-shirt-wearing, value-label-buying idiots in here you know. Some of us even have rather good salaries, like yours USED TO BE. We've just turned a corner and realise life isn't about spending money.0 -

I think it is a case of she is looking at what she can live on while keeping alot of what she has rather than looking at surviving.
I would also advise getting in touch with nationaldebtline about whether you can hand the cars back before contacting the car people - there have been quite a few cases where they have told people they can't hand the cars back or can only do so after 50% has been paid when this is simply untrue.

I really don't know what to say...I am completely in shock.
Oh my goodness, if this is not a wind up then please, please, please listen to what these people have advised and snap out of this dream, or in my opinion, nightmare, that you are living in.

As a newbie to this site I AM FURIOUS!
I am in debt - with a lot more mitigating circumstances than you - BUT THE RESPONSIBILITY IS MINE.
All of the people on this site have helped me enormously and I hungrily follow their advice. I am already making progress after only one week.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE YOU ARE AT!
My only suggestion is that you find yourself a millionaire who can support your obscene extravagance.
I can't believe you are still contemplating borrowing money!!!!!!!!!
I HOP YOU WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
As for me - I will continue taking and acting on the advice given - with the help of the people on here - and REAL friends who don't value me for what I've got.
GOOD LUCK - until you change you'll need it!   :mad:Debt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615

Of course, just go to the forum jump bit at the bottom and scroll down to the Oldstyle Moneysaving board.
Then read the introduction thread on there.
I find just reading all the posts on there useful but it might be worth posting and introducing yourself, telling them what your budget is, what you are buying, what you have in, where you shop etc and they will work their magic!
Also read the Mbaz thread (£20 to last a month can I do it?) and Weezl's thread for inspiration!!!0
