DD1 had a fab week in Germany and DD2 loved the JLS concert:T
DD1 even brought back 35Euro...only spent 35, so did very well - letting her change it back to pounds and keep it - it wasn't my money in the first place, my dad gave it to her. She's very good at not spending:o Not like me - I seem to have lost the plot this week, have bought too much. Camera, sandwich maker...few bits in Next yesetrday, chinese takeaway last night...need I go on?

I know why - my housing beneift went up...almost double for the summer, also I heard from Student Finance and am getting much more this year:o Last year I thought I had enough, but as this year I'm entitled to tuition fee loan, then that entitles me to more grants. So....I'm getting an extra £4k:eek: And they are grants that won't affect my HB. I feel like I have too much though....hence the spending. I also kind of think that if I save it, then housing benefit will go down, as if you have over £6k in savings it affects hb...so I just think, let's not have savings, lets spend......very silly, I need to stop that and sort my money out.

Ok, going to write down what I must do this afternoon. Girls are with their dad, just gone, so I have until about 6.30 probably. They're having roast dinner too, so I don't need to cook...bliss:D

Ok...here's what I should get done:
    • ironing
    • put washing on the line
    • tidy both bedrooms
    • put the piles of stuff in hall upstairs up the attic
    • carry on with assignment due in on Friday for uni
    • meal plan for next week
    • shopping list
    • check housing benefit amount payment into bank later on
    • work out how much girls owe me for clothes bought by my sis in America...I paid;)
    • general tidy up!
Ok, I think that's enough to be getting on with. Ooooh I like writing a list - I now know what to do today. Washing on the line first...off I go:rotfl:

Ok...so, ironing done, stuff up attic, girls room tidied, washing on the line, stairs hoovered, paid car tax online, done meal plan and little list, checked banking but HB is due next week not this week....and done no uni work!!

So am sat at the laptop at thetable, going to do half an hour...hopefully after that I'll want to keep going, but if I tell myslef it's just half an hour it's easier to get started....I am daft I know:o

 'morning milly. Well done on all yesterday's tasks that should leave the way clear for your coursework this week!! You know it'll be harder once the girlies are off school:p

I say this speaking as one who knows. I became a master at distraction tactics - once I found myself washing, drying and polishing my coffee mug and we've got a dishwasher! Go for it!!

I've had a lovely day out shopping with my sis and her youngest, who's 2 and a half, bless her.
I bought dd2 a few bits in New Look, she's paying for whatever she keeps - wants something new to wear to her leavers day on Friday...they're off in a limo at 2pm then for pizza and disco in the evening, lovely last day of primary school:p

I bought dd1 a top and she's paying for the other - both were in the sale. Few bits in Primark - was pleased with the pyjama bargain for dd1 - spotty pj trousers, £2, matching vest, £1 and pj tshirt top £1. Also got dd2 sandals, again she's buying.

Lots of my Next stuff had arrived when I got home - 9 bags:eek: Mind you, 4 pairs of jeans for my sis, few bits for her girls too. I've tried on my stuff - out of the huge pile of tops I'm keeping one £5 tshirt!! Loads just didn't fit, were too big - then the one I did like was too small, in the same size..grrrr:mad: Did get some plain long sleeved tops for winter to wear under short sleeves - £2 each so got 3 black and 3 white...great as I have a few that are needing to be thrown out.

What else came? Lovely yellow bath mat, £5, striped towel, £3 - 2 more in another delivery. Been meaning to get decent hand towels for ages, ours are all faded and mismatched...nice;) 2 fitted sheets for girls beds - £5 each. Good timing, I noticed dd1's best sheet has a big worn out hole in the middle....poor child:rotfl:

So, pleased with my Next haul so far - loads to return though. Still some things to come - 2 pairs of work trousers were due in todays delivery but it's the only parcel that didn't appear...hope it's just been forgotten and will appear soon.

DD1's made bolognese sauce...will turn half into chilli for dd2 and I.

Am absolutely shattered - I didn't sleep til well after 2am last night, no idea why....so really need my bed - I could drop off happily now. Dinner, PJs and persuade girls to go up early I think:T

Hoooooray for school holidays:beer::beer: (Even if I have really been on holiday since May:o) It'll be lovely to just slow down, enjoy the time with the girls and have lie-ins:rotfl:

DD2 has now finished primary...boohooo. Her leavers assembly this morning was lovely, as was the production they put on the other night - very proud:) She left school at 2.30 this afternoon - in a limo and gone for pizza. Meeting the limo at 6.30ish and they have a disco this evening....such a nice end to primary school.
DD1's been in and out again...so home alone again!

The house is untidy and needing a good clean too, I might have a quick go at something before I go out in an hour to that disco;) Must think of some things I need to do during the hols...not really got any plans which is a little sad as we're off til Sept 1st!!

Off to my sister's tomorrow for the night after girls have been to gym club.

Right, better go and do some tidying.

    First day of the holidays:beer:
We went to my sister's on Saturday and came back yesterday afternoon. Had a lovely bbq and few games of Buzz on the ps3.

Nothing much planned this week - I do have the 2 presentations to do on Thursday - am terrified of them, I am soooo useless of speaking tasks...could write them happily but will go to pieces when speaking it:o

Washing is on, house is reasonably tidy - well downstairs is anyway. Lots to do upstairs during the hold. But...I must concentrate on the college work this week beofre I start my tidying and sorting.

DD1 wants to buy a dvd that's out today so will nip to Tesco for that and get a fw bits of food for the week - dont need much. We're off to Paignton on Saturday until Tues with Mum and Stepdad, that'll be lovely!!

And....ex has paid my money in today - £25 more than I expected, paid without me asking - there's a first:T So I put the £25 extra in girls club money account and the rest in savings acc - but will use that as spends for the weekend in Devon...good timing;)

Time for a shower now and crack on.

Well done on cracking on with coursework milly. Just think how good you'll feel going to Devon with those presentations behind you. And, at last. ex has done something right! Life's good.

Been out and about today - doctor's at 10 for my B12 jab (yuk) and dd2 and I went to town this afternoon. DD1 slept until 12, the lazy little toerag...;)
In town I bought dd1 some undies, a vest top for me in Next sale, jeans...and that's it. To justify the jeans - I got some i the sale, lovely slim leg which I didnt think I'd like, but they look really nice, so I bought some more:D Girls bought themsleves a Sims expansion pack for their computers so that's kept them quiet this afternoon while I've pottered about.

I've tidied my room - clearing the pile of clothes that have lived on the floor for weeks:o I put my new bedlinen on my bed - Next sale set, £20 from £50 - it's gorgeous!!

I emailed my tutor as I am meant to do 2 presentations on Thurs but only have one vaguely ready - she said I can either do both in the 2nd week of August or the one I haven't started work on. Tempting as it is to say do both then, I must go in on Thurs and do the one that's pretty much sorted - I'll feel soooooo relieved when one is done - am scared of it (hate speaking) so must get it out of the way.

Tomorrow will consist of finishing the presentation and getting it written into notes on some index cards. Might look at what's on in the cinema to take girls as it's Orange wed and we'll just pay for 2.

Ok, well nothing I said I would do today got done:o My tutor said we can do both my presentations during the week of Aug 9th, which suits me as girls are with their dad for 4 days before that. I could have done one presentation tomorrow but thought I'd rather hang on and do both together. So.....have done no work today - but I have been busy!!

I sorted out the clothes shelves in girls closet - got 2 huge bags of jumble, stuff for ebay, stuff in recycling and big bin bag full of pens/games etc that were buried at the back of the shelves. Then I had a rest and lunch, then watched 'Remember Me' with girls - odd film, with a rather surprising ending!!

After that I went to lie on my bed to read - but didn't last long before wanting to sort my room;) I like lying up there so thought if I had room for my Uni books to be kept there I might do some work up there. It's a small room - girls have the big room - just has my bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelf unti. there was a wasted space in the corner that you coundnt get to, I just kept bags, sleeping bag in it:o I've now moved the drawers along and turned wardrobe so there's mre room - sneezing now though:p

So I have a bit of space I could put a narrow shelf maybe to keep book in...will investigate:D

Must think of something to do with girls tomorrow - they've been home all day, I want them to get out...but it's difficult entertaining a 13 and 11 yr old without spending much round here - wish we had beaches and parks nearby.

DD2 making dinner soon - meatballs. Then an evening of tv and games...we've played games each night so far - been really nice finding new ones or ones we've not played for a while!! Cluedo might be dug out:)
