Good to have you back milly and good to hear that you're on the road to a full recovery.
I do hope you get your degree course sorted. From your grades, you're so obviously capable of doing it, it would be shame to drop out.0 -
Hi nice to see you back
Hope the health continues to improve to full recovery soon.
And I agree with Maman, your grades were so good it would be a shame to give up Uni so I hope that all works out for you.
Take care

Back again - I must keep posting and get back into the DFwW-ness;)
One decision made - am not restarting the course...I'm going to do my damndest to finish this year, will probably need longer than next month though, I'm waiting to hear from the uni of that's possible....fingers crossed:o
I've spent too much this week - went to Asda on Monday...£110 on food:eek::eek: But, that's us meal planned for the next 2 weeks....maybe more, also I hadn't shopped in a while, and I've filled up the new freezer I bought - so loads of stuff! The freezer's fab, how handy to have bread frozen:D
I also had to buy dd2's new PE kit for secondary....there went £46, I did get dd1 a new PE top too. Ex has been asked to pay hafl....but he's still paying me for the school trips:mad: DD2's been on her trip and DD1 going on Sunday - he still owes £150, numpty.
I'm feeling much, much better - pretty much back to normal. Have my post-op check next week and appt with gastro doc the week the week after to review my medication. Only 2 and half weeks left of the school year, so I need to get cracking with the uni work while girls are at school. I'm going to the uni library today (when I eventually get my face on!). First job is to prepare a 5-10min presentation - terrifying, but I only have to present it to my tuor as opposed to the whole group, so I think I've done ok here;) Got another presentation too, then a big essay - 5k words:eek: 2 work based tasks, which I'm hoping I can do in Sept, when I'm actually at work!!
So, today will be an NSD. I need milk and rolls, but they'll come out of the grocery account. I have washing on the line but even though it's warm, it's dull and there was a bit of rain not long ago - booo. Got to organise DD1's stuff for her trip next week - off to Germany, leaving the country, argh!!
Ok, off to get ready and nip to the library:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
OK - check out my signature - I just paid off the PO cc:beer::beer:
I still had student loan money but was keeping it in case we went on holiday or in case I wasn't studying next year. But...no holiday and I *should* still be a student and get the loans....so it's been paid!
Just Next and Littlewoods (that one's interest free) - Next sale's next week so might use that account then but will pay that off when I know what I'v bought!
So....I just now need to keep the spending low, save and keep orgaines. Maybe a new diary will appear to get me going:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Great to hear you sounding so positive milly. Are the work-based tasks very long? Any chance you could nip into school for the odd half day before the end of term?
You are really sounding so much better, I'm delighted for you. And congrats on the continued debt-busting too.
Do put pressure on the big numpty for uniform money. Moving to secondary school is a big rite of passage and your DD1 should have everything just right. Why should yo finance it all yourself???
Agree totally about new freezer. I bought a second one last year and it's great to have HM ready-meals for busy days and lots of special offer/bogof meat etc. I can't think how I ever managed with just the one.
Enjoy your day.0 -

Hello again Maman:)
The work based tasks aren't too long - 2500 words over 2 parts, so not a huge amount. I just haven't got the ideas for the assignments yet...must have a think. I'm going in today to see my mentor after school for a few ideas on the self-esteem presentation.
The dear ex is off to Ibiza on Sun until Friday - his birthday present from his girlfriend - tis alright for some eh:mad: Honestly, he always manages a holiday. We're going to Devon on July 31st for 3 nights, courtesy of my mum and stepdad so that'll be lovely. Staying in a really nice hotel, what a good break and she's treating us after my rubbish year so far!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooops I submitted that before I'd finished:o
I've been bad and spent money today....booo. Bought a book and cd from Amazon, although now I think about it the book was only £3 and the cd £6...so not really a calamity;)
I didn't sleep well last night so went back to bed once girls were at school - and woke at 12:eek: Guess I must have needed it! Otherwise I'm feeling pretty good.
DD2 is going to a friend's house after school, DD1 has a swimming party....at 8.15 until 10.30 though... So I have to go get her, but I did ask her to see if I can share the taking/dropping off with her friend (with me doing the taking!!)
Tomorrow we're going to see my sis and will come home Sunday. DD1 is off to germany on Sunday night at 11.45pm...a late one for me! So a quiet house next week - will enjoy it just being DD2 and I:D
Ok, must sort my hair out and tidy up a bit - I'm feeling like I've lost control over the housework a bit. I read back some of this diary last week and I was soooo much more motivated and organised last year. I need to find my sparkle...it's lost:D Maybe a new shiny diary will help....I shall try and think of a lovely title!!!
Enjoy the sun lovelies:cool::cool:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Just spent £18 at Body Shop online - 2 body butters £3 each from £12, 2 shower gels £2 from £6, 2 body lotions £2 from £6 - that's 4 presents bought....1 for my mentor at school, one friend bday in Sept and 2 teachers I work with for Christmas!! That was £48 worth of stuff for £18 - lovely presents:beer:
Need to get off the computer and not buy anything else:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
It will be worth sticking with Uni so you don't have to do another year, hard work I know but worth it especially as you are obviously more than capable.
Might have a look at the Body Shop offers myself now you've mentioned them.
Don't forget a link to your new diary of you start one.
Take care x0 -
Good morning:D
That's DD1 gone to Germany, last night at midnight the coach left;)
Day at home for me - I need to get on with housework and Uni work....so should haul my lazy backside off here and have a shower!!
Washing is ready to go on the line, will put that out then go get ready.
We had a good weekend - went to my sister's after gym club on Saturday. Had a BBQ and Pimm's in the garden, lovely. Was tired yesterday, up early as my sis was going out. So I didn't do much when we got home yesterday, must get on with it today.
Think I'll email the uni yet again and ask about extending my deadline - they say the decision is made in August, but what if I don't get it done, apply for extension and don't get it?! Oh, it's all confusing.I really need to sort out a new signature!0
