Nipped to town with dd2 for her eye test - she needed new glasses, but chose some from the free range, I refused to buy any as she hardly wears her glasses, the monkey.
Didn't have much time after being in there ages, had a look in New Look for her, but didn't buy. Dinner in KFC was almost £10, then got stung for £4 in the car park...grrrr:mad: Thought as we were there after 6, when it goes to the overnight rate, it would be cheaper...alas no;)

She's now at guides and I'm off to lie on the sofa and watch Holby...I love Tuesdays:D

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr what a waste of a morning:mad:
Had my post-op appointment at the hospital. I got there half an hour early so sat there with my book, then get told due to a problem with the registrar the appointments are running an hour late. So I wait - then go in...for about 2 minutes:mad: It was some chap standing in, my surgeon retired and his registrar wasn't in. He looked at my scar, said that's fine, you look well....you can go!

So, not happy that I spent money on the bus and a coffee there - not to mention being out of the house from 9 til 12...what a waste of time!!!

So, to cheer myslef up I bought a pack of 2 maple pecan danish pastries in the co-op;)

So spent £2.50 on the bus, £1.50 on coffee and £3 in co-op on the pastries, mushrooms and a cucumber.

DD2's been in from school and gone out again with her friends, so home alone yet again. Not heard from DD1 still - she's a pain, I'd like to just hear from her once!!

Must make dinner early tonight - having chicken risotto. Then at 7, I will be sitting with my huge list, shopping online at Next:beer: My list's huge, but wont buy it all! Lots of smellies less than half price which are good to have in the pressie stash, especially perfume for girls friends.

I hope you got lots of good next bargains Milly, how do you get one the VIP slots and do you make a list of all the stuff you like in the catalogue and hope it come up or do you just look for certain types of clothing. Hope you don't mind me being nosey but I've heard so many people talking about it on MSE I feel I'm missing out.

Also I've got a set of next diamond smellies i was thinking of regifting to a friends daughter who will be 12 is that the sort of thing they like or is it a bit grown up? I have no clue with girls that age at all, I've got 3 neices aged 11,12 &13 and was thinking about getting them perfume for christmas, any ideas on what brands? When I was a teenager everyone was into tribe or exclamation perfume which seems like many moons ago and i'm not sure todays younth would be impressed!

My girls love smellies - dd2 who is 11 won a Morgan gift set at the school fayre and was really pleased with it - I think girls that age would be happy with a Next set. As for perfume, mine definitely love getting it. I usually buy them Next perfumes for Christmas as they're not expensive - Just Pink is a favourite. They do like whipping perfumes of mine too - DKNY Be Delicious, but its not a cheap one to buy as a gift.

Last year I bought some from Asda, called 'So....', there were a few different varieties and they liked them. Boots Natural Collection do a range of fruity body sprays, in a pump - my mum gave me a set of 6 recently....and they love these too! Also they bought a big bottle of body spray from Hollister - they absolutely love the brand, quite expensive clothing over here, my dad in the US sends over clothes as they're tons cheaper. But the body sprays were £8 each or 2 for £10....very nice!

As for the Next sale - they give these VIP sale slots to some of the account holders - I've never had one before but this year they emailed me with one - you get the chance to go online and buy sale stuff before the sale goes 'public' on Saturday. I wrote a huuuuuge list of the catalogue numbers of what I fancied, then plugged it into the quickshop to buy before it sold out!
Honestly, I bought soooo much, but realistically I only want 1 pair of jeans (ordered 5 to try!), one or 2 duvet sets (ordered 3), a few tops - out of about 12!! Plus I ordered a bit for my sister as she didnt get a slot.
    Exciting....I'm easily pleased:rotfl:

Well my NSD went out the window - I went to Argos and bought a camera:eek: Nothing fancy though, it was in the sale at £55. The camera I use actually belongs to DD2, was her Christmas present a year and half ago - but she never gets to use it. She's off to see JLS with my sis and nieces tomorrow, wanted her camera, but I'd lent it to DD1 in Germany..oooops:o So, feeling bad, as it is DD2's camera anyway, I went and bought myself one so she can have hers to herself when DD1's back. For tomorrow night she can use my new one:D Seems really good too - takes excellent close ups which will be good for ebay!! I have my phone to list but the very old camera in the house this week wont take a close up without being very blurred.

Ok, I've justified my spend enough:rotfl:

I sent off my last sick note from the hospital to Uni, they needed more evidence to hopefully defer a little longer. Am off to college tomorrow to see my tutor - she wants me to bring what I've done so far and be prepared to do some work tomorrow - eeeek, I've not got much to take with me....I'm hopeless:o

So, as I mentioned, dd2 is off to see JLS with my sis, her hub and 2 of their girlies. I'm collecting dd from school at lunchtime and bro in law's collecting her from me as he's working around here - fab, saves me a journey! DD1 will be on her way home tomorrow and gets back at 11.45pm...so will be a late one for me, no 9o'clock to bed;) But, it'll be fab to see her again, nt the same with one missing - even if it is quieter:)

Right, going to have a look at my work, see what I can rustle up to take in tomorrow.
    Hope you've all had a lovely day:D

Had an email from Next - the first part of my order is on its way - 7 parcels of it:rotfl::rotfl: Hope it comes tomorrow!!!

Not much else to report - off to college for 10, picking up dd from school at12 and she's off to my sis ready for tonight! DD1 back tonight, hooray, have missed her:o

Must attempt to keep spending down over the next few days....should be easy enough, got nothing planned. I need a few bits of food, will write a meal plan later for next week.

Right better get dd2 off out the door and myslef ready for college.
