Are these CDs breaking copyright?

This seller is surely breaking copyright. He is stating that he is selling a DJ mixtape of the Florence and the Machine album

To me this seems dodgy and I am very tempted to press the report button, just wondering if there is any way it could be legit? I'm definitely not buying it! I love the terms and conditions he has provided, ha ha he'll take legal action if the auction is removed:p

If you're not buying it, why care? He seems to know what he's talking about to me. Life's too short to worry about what everyone else is doing. No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!
Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target0 -
I don't know how to edit the typo in the title!0

Yes they are illegal as only the artist or company can own their own music, I think he is being rather foolish drawing attention to the fact that these look like an infringement of copyright.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think it is. DJs are allowed to make mixtapes for promotional purposes. I think when they actually sell them they are then breaking copyright. Thats how i understand it but i could be wrong. Normally when big DJs start selling they get permission off the copyright holders (who are credited). So a smalltime one wont. So I believe technically it is breaking copyright law. I look forward to any more information people have0

He even admits they shouldn't be sold in a round about way "The sole purpose of mixtapes is for promotion and distribution purposes. They are intended to be passed on as many times as possible to promote the artists and DJs involved in their production"
He can probably justify passing them on as a freebie but he can't sell them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I also doubt that these are proper mix tapes. Looking at his listings it seems he's just bootlegging albums0

Sorry but don't agree with this, I'm a firm believer that copying cds to sell on in bulk is the same as stealing money from the artist's pocket:A0 -
well i'm not doing anything at the moment so currently reporting some items lol0

I have no qualms about reporting dodgy sellers.
Ebay make far too much money from dodgy items that infringe on copyright as it is. Last time I reported a specific infringing item, the sellers auctions got tugged and several other sellers selling similar items were also closed. I think a few of them began to report each other resulting in several unregistered users.
Sick of ebay turning a blind eye on this.0 -
I might be sad but it's just taken me a couple of mins to report all the sellers items. Hopefully they'll get taken down but I can imagine the seller will have a new account up and running within minutes. Ebay should report these people to the recording industry, it is a far worse breach of copyright than a teenager illegally downloading a couple of tracks!0
