Royal Mail Recorded Delivery

What a shocker (not). RM did not obtain a signature on the RD parcel I sent last friday.
Luckily the recipient told me about this and I've made a formal complaint to RM.
Honestly, why shouldn't lazy posties be taken to task? This could have left me out of pocket if the recipient had any mind to commit fraud. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

The correct channel is to contact royal mail and put in a formal complaint against your postman advising that he is perpetuating fraudulent activity in not fulfilling his obligation to collect your signature when you are given the package.
I totally agree. It is the postman who is not doing his job. I have come home on several occasions to find parcels left outside my front door, for anyone to see. At one stage, there was 'allegedly' a sign at the sorting office specifically advising postman not to leave parcels outside my front door! Actually, I thought they weren't supposed to do this anyway. The final straw came when I received a piece of Swarovski through the letter box. I had paid for Recorded Delivery and I was really angry with the seller. When the seller emailed to enquire if I had yet received the parcel, I said no. She emailed back and said she had the RD tracking number and would try and track the parcel. I then looked at the packaging and realised that there obviously had been a RD label, which had been removed. I emailed the seller to say the parcel had now arrived, but without the RD label, and would she kindly send it to me, as the matter was being referred to the Manager of the Sorting Office. He personally drove down to my house to pick up the parcel and I later found out from my regular postman that it is not uncommon for RD labels to be removed from parcels. This means, the postman does not have to wait for a signature. I understand that the postman who did this received a disciplinary warning.0 -
My Postman is really nice, he also asked me if he could sign for things and put them through the door if i wasn't in so I agreed as it makes life easier for both of us

I have no issues with that, providing this has been agreed! It's the ones that do it without an agreement that would clearly cause problems, though I have not experienced this myself. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
