On the subject of running, I would like to try, I am enjoying walking so much and have been doing 6 miles in around 90 mins at least 5 times a week.

I have tried to go into a jog a couple of times but I immediately get pain in my knees and ankles and have to stop:confused:

I have found that I am more chilled and so is OH.........other areas have improved also;)

We are now dissapointed if something gets in the way of us having our 6 miler.......even left a party to walk last night which would have been unheard of.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Hmm Louise that is odd - literally straight away?

Do you want me to ask OH? He's pretty good at running and the toll on the body - you've got a great walking base built up so it shouldnt be too painful (it always hurts a bit when you start out because its different from what you are used to ;))

Yes Becks, within about 3 or 4 strides, I feel about double my body weight and get pains as though my ankles and knees are about to snap.......excuse my strange way of explaining things:o

Maybe my trainers a totally unsuitable and I need some gel insole ones or something:confused:

Nevertheless I will continue with the walking

Okay will get OH to look in and see what he thinks - might be later today!

You might need to go to a running shop and get your gait measured at some point but lets see if he thinks it might be something else first :D
  • Sal-Please explain to me WHY you need your Mom to look after Bea on Fri when DH is at home!?!? Sorry, but !!!!!!!?

Luc-not sure when in Oct it is sweetheart but you are welcome to come (I would love little baby snuggles-I miss them)

DS slept from 8.30 last night til 10 am! Wish DD would do that...she is up at 6.30 but is really good and plays in her room, but I can still hear her.

I don't know what the hell they were doing last night on the train tracks behind my house last night but it was making a heck of a racket! Woke DH up which is a miracle...

Yeah I live next to a huge station and over a tube line so I get lots of weird vibrations from work - its very annoying - sometimes they 'forget' to send the letters!

    afternoon all.

Brain pick time - is it possible to restrict 1 person on FB as to what they can see? Or does everyone have to have the same settings? I want to stop someone seeing my status updates but I don't know if I can be that specific.
