 Maz - hadn't read your posts from last night, just caught up.. last I knew you were still popping round to his for the evening.. blimey! Not the best circumstances to meet the parents.. but glad to hear he is feeling better. Re the hypo thing, dunno how much you know about them but maybe ask him to explain if they happen often, what to do etc.. my mum is diabetic and when she was first diagnosed it was very scary, but now I can cope fine if it happens.. everyone is a bit different though so would be good to know how he usually deals with it.

Very honest of you about the vulnerability - guess it must have been quite a shock when you've only seen him as fit Runnerman before!

    OH says:
You just needs to keep walking with plenty of hills to create a full range of motion...it sounds as if the joints arent strong enough for running yet unless you want to risk permanent damage.

At least 200 miles are needed, but probably more if you've been sedentary for a while.

I think what he means is...your joints are hurting because they are not used to moving in such a way - how long have you been walking for? I know you're doing 6 miles a day so a month or so of that level should be fine. I think you're body will creak for a while anyway when you start but its usually after you stop not straight away...I'll see if he nip onto the thread later after work and post a more fullsome reply :p

I know, erin had already put the kybosh on a romantic evening anyway, but throwing yourself off the road to avoid sleeping with me does seem a bit extreme!!

i have said to him that i do need to understand the diabetes thing some more, but TBH it's only the 3rd major biggie hypo he's ever had so hopefully not an issue....

one other one was when he'd been shot at by a sniper in Bosnia, which funnily enough made me quite fancy him again! lol!!!

honesty that i would tell you lot but not that i would ever tell him....

i just texted him and said i would be along in half an hour, that was if he wasn't out playing the drums somewhere! sometimes i'mso witty i make myself laugh!!

it sounds like it could have been the shock and the stress of the accident which bought on the hypo,Maz.

Sounds like he has the diabetes pretty well under control then - good to know about it though just in case.

That reminds me I was going to look at first aid courses a while back....

Hehe.. it was great :D I don't usually like cooking with other people (and have been known to tell them to b*gger off out of my way) but it was really good.. if a bit floury :rotfl:

Just got off a 2 hour Skype with Mum (good job its free!) Had a lovely blether and I feel better for it.

Ouch at RM Maz (I'm not into vulnerable men either...) but I can honestly say you CAN do 'stuff' with a broken arm - you just need to be creative about positioning to avoid putting weight on broken arm...;)
