Buyer threatening . . .

Just a thought.
Have you considered offering a partial refund if he put a battery in and it was ok?
might be cheaper for you then refunding postage x2 etc.0 -
OP Why on earth should the buyer have to pay for postage for you sending them the item, your the one in the wrong, you got your listing wrong its your error why shouldnt the buyer get a full refund.
If i got a full refund i might give positive maybe a neutural a refund less postage you would get a very strong negative.
Its a watch and you forgot to mention the fundamental part of a watch telling hte time didnt work. Personally no offence but if thats how you go about on ebay your a pretty bad seller.
Whats your id so i never buy from you!0 -

I am issuing a full refund. Case CLOSED!
Looks as if it's one you bought on Ebay recently , when you bought it (June 6th) it clearly said in the listing
If I was the buyer I'd be wondering whether you'd changed the battery and found it still wasn't working.gents watch needs strap and battery
I bought an item a few months back which arrived damaged , on questioning the seller he just said that's how he got it when he bought it.
As he didn't seem bothered or even mention anything about light damage in the listing I neg'd him then he had the cheek to ask what the neg was about :rotfl:.0 -
You made a nice profit on it as well didnt you! probably because you accidently forgot that the battery didnt work!!!!!0

Ok i understand the OP was wrong in what he did, but after 20 replies telling him he's wrong, i think he may have just got the point? Dont you think so?
Thus him saying "I am issuing a full refund. Case CLOSED!"
So while he was in the wrong, i think theres no need to keep going on about it after 20 people have all said the almost exact same thing.MSE allowed me to see the light0 -
I would give a full refund including the p&p apologise and hope you don't receive a neg.0

You know this reminds me of the time I sold a car.
I described the dents and scratches and the buyer still got all funny with me because I forget to mention it didn't have an engine. I mean you can't list every single fault with an item can you? 0 -

I don't think the OP has got the point, in the same post you quoted from:I honestly didnt think to put it on and come on it just needs a battery! The most important part was the strap being broken!!
The OP clearly thinks that not mentioning that the watch doesn't work is no big deal; it is. They also think that it's OK for the buyer to be out of pocket for a mistake the seller made; it's not.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
I'm not buying and selling tennis balls so dont need to register as a business. This was a one of where i was offered approx 10 tubes which i took.
When i purchased the watch i couldnt find a cheap place for a strap so just put it back on - i didnt even look at getting it working. I just put it back on ebay.
Can i just say i have taken on board what people have said and am rectifying the situation with full refunds and apologies. I have definietly learned from this mistake.0 -
Well at least it was an easy way to make an £8.46 profit by missing out the word "faulty". Shame that it backfired for you.0
