My friend is asking if she can give my address to his bank

Hello everyone,
My friend is asking if she can give my address to his bank as there address is not on royal mail postal list and they are not getting the post. I just wanted to know if that can cause any problem for me.
Her husband has some identity theft problem and has some other people's arrears on his credit record, but only she is giving my address in her bank not her husband.
Please tell me if anything can go wrong
Thanks

They need to address this with Royal Mail - not get you involved!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Not your problem this one. They need to take it up with Royal Mail."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
They have done that and its a long process council has to visit the property and then they will advice royal mail to add the address. She is asking it as a favour and i dont mind if it doesnot affect me0

Good way to end a friendship, tell her no it's not your problem0

so you're quite happy to have someone else's mail sent to you, someone else who has 'problems with identity theft'.
Yuo won't be friends for much longer, either way. Your friend should never have asked this of you."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

It probably will affect you. Credit file agencies link everyone listed at one household together, so if in the future she messes up (misses a credit card payment, goes overdrawn without authorisation etc) it'll hit your credit.i dont mind if it doesnot affect me
She needs to email addressmaintenance@royalmail.com with the address in question, and ask for it to be added to the Postcode Address File.0 -
I agree with other posters, don't do it.
Surely her Bank will arrange to keep her mail for collection whilst she sorts things out with the Royal Mail.:hello:0 -
As an alternative - could she lodge a post redirect form with the Royal mail?
That would mean all the banks, credit statements etc still have her home address but that for a few weeks, till its sorted, everything addressed to her is redirected to your address by Royal Mail - and hopefully therefore arriving ok??
You have to pay for this though, but the paid time period expires, it just automatically reverts to Royal mail delivering it back to her proper address.Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -

Since when? That is complete and utter nonsense.0 -
Not true I'm afraidbillbennett wrote: »It probably will affect you. Credit file agencies link everyone listed at one household together, so if in the future she messes up (misses a credit card payment, goes overdrawn without authorisation etc) it'll hit your credit.
She needs to email addressmaintenance@royalmail.com with the address in question, and ask for it to be added to the Postcode Address File.0
