No, I think frequent snarling reminders and threats of the fires of hell and damnation, tar and brimstone, sulphur, skinning alive, etc., might be as effective, without having to keep records.
But why don't people delete their posts when a duplicate is pointed out to them? Are they simply trying to boost their number of posts? Ditto for when they post something, then, instead of deleting it, they edit the post and leave wonderfully enlightening phrases like, "Sorry, problem solved" or "Doesn't matter".
Or else they get high and mighty and write stuff more or less equivalent to, "Well, how was I supposed to know it had already been posted?"
Sorry, I'm going on about this much more deeply than I'm affected by it!
