I thinx pigsback should be open to one person per household..that would stop all the hassle..When I hear the numerous posts of" "my hubby" got points too,I bet on many occasions the wife{or visaversa} has done them both....I mean when you send away for a coupon etc its only ONE per household ,and pigsback should be the same..as we know from human nature that if people can take advantage of a freebee they will....

I disagree. Money is very tight in our house, so DD was really chuffed when she was able to claim free cds with her cdwow voucher, earned within 3 weeks of joining pb.
I can keep hold of my own points and put them towards xmas pressies.

I do help her out by telling her which ct's etc I've seen & therefore she should look out for, then she logs in (on our shared pc) and searches for them. I don't think this is harmful to pb and their advertising partners, as we're still discussing them, and it's surely no different to me reading of ct's others on this thread have had and looking for same.

Sorry but I disagree. I use my points to get boots vouchers in order to treat myself or help towards nappies and OH does his own as he is on the computer just as much as me and is saving for cd-wow vouchers now so that he can buy a cd he wants. If it was one per household we may argue over what voucher to get;)

I think it would be pretty obvious if someone was to have lots of accounts registered to the one address and that it would need investigating.

I agree with you. Unless you are in a one person household or anyone else isnt interested its natural for ALL members of the family to want to join if you can save money or get freebies. I've got an average size family and I dont see why I should be the only one to be able to join.

or more to the point I dont see why I shouldnt be able to join if my son or daughter-in-law does.

Doesnt pigsback get paid when we click through to a site etc? if so doesnt it mean that they get more money anyway if everyone in the house is clicking through.

What difference does it make if you tell family the answers to quizes and where the points are - the answers and points are all over MSE anyway:rotfl:

Well, I spend a few hours away from the PC and you naughty piggies get stuck into a free-for-all!! Well done!! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it all, and am pleased to see that freedom of speech is not dead!

I thought Edna raised some excellent points, but maybe they were couched in some emotive phrases. I recognised a lot there from my own posts from some months ago (I mean in terms of sentiment, not of plagiarism), and Edna is quite correct to remind us that Darragh is here to work on behalf of PB and to portray PB in the best possible light.

Ah well, it's over now, so it seems, so I'll shut up. But not before saying that it was I who originally made mention of fraud, and Darragh (and PB) are quite right not to tolerate it.

Whilst I enjoyed the debate, I'm not quite sure why Edna took Darragh's post to be so high-minded. Fraud is wrong, and he said so. Seems fair enough to me.

    Happy weekend, Piggies!

Thanks droopsnout - both for that and your ongoing excellent contributions to the Pigsback thread(s). To repeat (yet again) my strong views on "freebie fraud" I would encourage anyone to scroll back to my previous posts on the subject elsewhere within this sub section of the Board.

Good to see the avatars are back.

There's an unusual new survey now on PB at http://research.pigsback.com/TakeSurvey.asp?SurveyID=9M0nn7M0mn21G on class issues.

I wonder if this is a survey that PB have put up purely for the entertainment of members, or whether it is for some other organisation.
