You are right it certainly is not perfect. From using the website it seems to have been coded by a beginner programmer. I think I could do a better job at it.

I have to agree with that actually. The easter egg hunt looked to be poorly coded, cron jobs would have done the job in seconds.

As for things like printable vouchers, they are done using javascript, some coding to make sure they are not printed more than once would help stop fraud.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with you. How you can compare fraud with independent tracking company problems is beyond me....

Fine to disagree if you wish, but I think you're talking absolute rubbish too! :D
Yours is also a somewhat arrogant post - yes I do know exactly how tracking works and the deficiences of the various online advertising companies, thank you very much. I've dealt with them all in my time, and indeed issued Court proceedings against one, so I do have some knowledge! Perhaps if companies like Pigsback, etc, took a stricter line with them, they'd also be more efficient?

I really don't like your tone at all about "lawyers" "libellous" etc - it's nasty, threatening and uncalled for.

As always, I was very careful with my use of words, and if you choose to read my post again you should see that. I most certainly did not condone fraud against Pigsback or anyone else by the (thankfully) small criminal element present on MSE - the irony is that if you go back through my posts here, you'll see I've "taken on" one of the worst perpetrators of "freebie fraud" who wasn't taken to task at all by MSE at least to start with.

I stand by my points raised. I still believe it's up to Pigsback to prove to us that the catalogue of ongoing problems are simply errors and omissions - why should it be taken on trust?

Darragh has clearly succeeded in his charm offensive here and has something of a fan base who don't like these issues being raised - credit to him for that.

However he remains an employee of a company that still seems to need to do a lot of sorting itself out.

...And I wouldn't call the post polite!

Good job you haven't seen me being rude to companies that let their customers down then! :)

Congrats to all the winners for Darragh's competition. Certainly kept the Pigsback thread on a light note until we started debating the finer points of defrauding a company as well as tracking problems.
I'm not around tonight to post the answers so perhaps someone else would like to do it?
    Enjoy the beautiful weather everyone!

Can we please put a stop to all this fighting? If you all could look back you would remember that the reason we started this new pigsback thread it was to get away from all the fighting and !!!!!ing. All this fighting is putting off some people. You should all grow up and find something else worth talking about.

Thank you for your post, but I shall most certainly not be deleting my post or apologising.

    Darragh

A shame - I'd have respected you more if you had done so, but your choice.

Your post was OTT and heavy-handed. You had no evidence at all that the OP who you commented on was doing anything untoward or intentionally wrong, and yet you introduced the idea of duplicate accounts and fraud to this thread.

Quite unnecessary and what annoyed me.

Perhaps in future the best advice to avoid a similar reaction would be to contact the OP privately to establish the facts before you sound off and pontificate publicly?

    Guys......talkabout quibbling like old women!!!

    Lets look at the facts.........

    A) It is your own choice to join Pigsback!

    B) The main incentive for most people who do join is to get something for nothing! I accept that WAS my main reason for joining but over the past year or so I have actually saved a lot of money through shopping via PB so its not all take, take take.

    C) I think Darragh is either the bravest, or most gullible guy to come onto MSE and work his way through what is an ever increasing number of complaints/qestions regarding PB and its members.

    D) ITS THE WEEKEND SO SIT BACK, UNCORK THE WINE AND CHILL OUT!!!
