Good Evening Lovely Ladies
Hope you're all ok?
Oh Mary, that must've scared you loads and your OH! Hope you feel better?
I wonder if any of you can tell me where I can get some daughter and some sister sentiments please? I prefer circle ones, but if not then anything else will have to do! lol.
Are there perhaps any free online that you've maybe seen?
Thanks
Sal

It depends where you are, savingmummy any craft shops near to you where you can shop without having to pay postage? Lots of the girls (cough
) use the Glitter Pot for their scallop cards which are lovely. As to what to put on the front check out ebay or anyone's blog 'cos there heaps and heaps of stuff out there. If you want to have a trawl go to UKscrappers their sponsors post regularly go to the forums, 'retail therapy' and then 'and now a word from our sponsors' this will list the sites sponsors and any new stuff or sales they have.
Good Luck!
Thank you.
I am in essex and there don`t seem to be local craft shops about i will have to try and find out where they are hiding!

I need a bit of advice. Someone I work with looked at my blog over the weekend and has asked if I would consider doing a couple of bulk orders for her. Tempted to give it a go, and will show her some of the cards I've made recently, but I have no idea what to charge her.
Is it about right to ask for £2.00 each for the top to, and £1.25 for the bottom ones, or is this way to much to ask. I don't want to give them away and do want to make a bit of money from them.
Hi
It's a tricky one but I think you could definitely charge £2 for the top 2 - have you seen how much cards cost in the shops nowadays! If you wanted to charge less for the other 2 then I'd say £1.50 but I've seen ones that are nowhere near as nice selling for £2 too so I guess it's up to you. . Perhaps average it out over the number of cards. In my experience, you never make beack the time you've spent on a card but if you get enjoyment out of making it then the way I see it is any monetary reward you get is just a bonus!
How many is she thinking of buying - would you have to make them to order?0 -
Mary - what a scary time for you & DH! So glad it dislodged itself and you are OK - if exhausted.
CT - I love the top two cards so would pay more than £2 but think it is a perfectly reasonable price to pay. It's very hard to get anything for the time you put in but if all the cards were to the same design you might be OK if you set up a 'production line' system.
Savingmummy - Welcome! Craftwork cards are good quality, and as you need 30 and I suggest you keep it simple. Depending on the size of card you get, could you just print say, a digi image on the front.
Sal - Sorry I can't help just now but there is a site that has circular sentiments you can alter yourself & print out. I'll go & see if I can find it....

Glittermum Don't know if this is any use to you but a friend of mine had a breast reduction and I bought her a blank card with two puppies on it wrote about "How she should enjoy her new puppies" You could substitue "jugs" etc. She liked it (this was before I started making my own)
I've put a new card on my blog - I'm not sure whether I like it or not. Will catch up properly later (supposed to be working)
Those are lovely ... I really love the font on the anniversary card - can you please tell me what it is? Did you print it from a computer? I need to print exactly the same (other than the year!) for my mum and dads card today! x0 -

So much to catch up on, I'm feeling oh so sorry for myself with a sore throat
Tomsmum, huge hugs to you xxx
Craftygranny, oh my goodness, huge hugs to you and your family xxx
Lyndach, keep talking about how you're feeling, big hugs to you too xxx
Savingmummy, there's a digital download new home kit here for £1.99, if you have printing abilities it is a cheapie way of making lots of the same card
Mary, blimey lady, are you sure you weren't just trying to get your own back for all the time you've had to spend at the big white building with your OH? No seriously, must have been so scary, very glad it got sorted quickly and you're back home xxx
Flourgirl, how's your dad today, is he coming home? Hope so x Thank you so much for the card box instructions, looks fiddly, need to leave giving it a go until I feel better I think
Dawnteabag, big congratulations to you on your win, I've been having a look and quite fancy buying one for OH for his birthday.
Rusty, I want your laptop to hurry up and get mended so you can start showing us what your robo can do x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

That's really lovely. It's amazing to think that we all come to regard forum friends so highly, and some of us are lucky enough to meet a few in real life and good friendships grow from there. I have two such friends down under who I got to know through a crafting forum and I have met them both. I think there is something special about people who have got together through a particular passion of theirs and a particular bond develops. Sharing an interest develops into sharing other parts of your life and the support everyone gives to each other on this thread shows that.
Thank you all for the good wishes for my Mom - that just proves my point!
CT - I think you are spot on with £2 for your top cards and possibly £1.50 for the other two. But for a bulk order, depending on how many and whether you can set up a "production line" to make production quicker, she may expect to pay a bit less.
Flourgirl - the box card for your Mom is absolutely lovely :T.
Sorry, just dipping in quickly so hugs to anyone who needs them and I'm not ignoring everyone else.0
