Hi DTB
Glad your halfway there to sorting out the washing maching. Beautiful card and scrap page on your blog, your sister will love them. What is your secret to tying your perfect bow? - do you have a bow maker or use a fork or something. Mine never look as good as yours, and I want to know how you do it (stamps feet!)
x
I don't use amything to tie them (except my hands obviously!)- I was going to buy a bow-maker at the papercraft show in Harrogate but luckily the lady running the workshop I was in showed us all how to tie them and saved me a few pounds (which could then spend on something else obviously - I was hardly gooing to save it was I!)
I'll try and explain but it might be easier with pics but my photographer is asleep in his bed (well he should be anyway  - I tired him out by paying hiom to shovel all the snow on the front of the house. Best £3 I've spent in a while and he was happy to do it as he's saving up for a wii)
you don't start with a knot but with 2 loops of ribbon - known in my house as bunny ears.
You then tie the loops in a knot - right over left and then up through the middle IYKWIM and then it's just a case of "squeeze and tease" until it looks right. Ooo-er missus!
Will have a go with the pics over the weekend - he got a camera for Christmas so will be pleased to help0 -

my MSE challenge card - thanks Toms Mum for setting it
and a scrapbook LO for my sis.
Both cards are really lovely.
Talking about swear words, we had our grandson stay for a couple of days during the school holidays. We got out the Wii, having just bought Wii Play. He, of course, has had plenty of practice as he's got this at home but we'd only had it a couple of days. So we were playing the cow race.
That blummin cow race. There he was romping home with his cow and my ruddy cow kept going off the track and knocking the trees down - no points for trees is there! "Get back on the f.....g road" says I . Oops. Now he's heard this word before, well he is 14 so he probably uses it, but to come out of his Nan's mouth
. He was creased up with laughing, so was I. I did confess to his mom and dad, they said not to worry, he'd heard it all before :rotfl: (but not from his Nan he hadn't!).

Thanks for the instructions DTB - they make perfect sense and will go and have a go. Bet your son was happy to be paid for clearing the snow. I do that with my kids but it is usually for hoovering or cleaning my car. My oldest is saving to go to the Isle of Wight in June with the School for 5 days - £240:eek:, so I have told him he needs to put £50 together for spending money, so at the moment he will do most things for a few pennies :rotfl:.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
