Saucysecrets I too have got Fibro - was diagnosed with it in Feb last year so if you ever want or need to chat about it at all please feel free to pm me - its such an awful condition to have to deal with I'm still struggling myself really! Luckily I have managed to find a fab support group though who have been a godsend!! :D

I have Fibromyalgia as well, nice to see others with it in here. I post in the Cafe thread on the disability board, which is a good source of support.
Has anyone received a glitterpot order recently?

Mine was shipped on Thursday, but no sign of it yet. It doesn't give a tracking number on the email, or say if it is royal mail or a courier...I really want the stuff!

I put in a glitterpot order a week ago, and got it within a couple of days. I put another one in yesterday and got the dispatch email today - so will let you know what happens with that.

  • Those stroppy children images are priceless!

CT - your OHs card is fabulous - that butterfly is absolutely amazing.

Just want to give all the new arrivals a :wave:sure is jumping around here!

I bought some wooden hearts, cirlces and rings to try and make something like this for my nieces - I'll try and do something Star Wars themed for my boys too! Rainmac -it's all your fault!
  • I'm looking for hot pink paper. I bought a coloured paper pack, but it had one sheet of it...I need quite a bit. Any ideas?
Have emailed the glitter pot...worried about the order, though, I need it before Thursday!

Just to show how brave I am.......

Pic 1 is my big Disaster sketch card so you can all have a chuckle.

Pics 2 & 3 are of my 'get back on the horse' card for Tomsmum's KISS challenge card. I've always liked the effect of the waste when I've punched out flowers so I used double sided card, punched the flowers, made a scalloped edge, stuck the scalloped edge on the hinge side and stuck on the flowers Then in true MSE style cut the image off the Disaster card & stuck it on the KISS card. Now I just need to put an insert in when I'm ready to use it.

    I miss the ME/Fibro thread :(
Thanks for that, I'd appreciate it :) The bulk of my paper is coming from them, so I want it so badly!

  • Thank you for your lovely comments i realise how enjoyable this can be for a hobby! So if i wanted to step it a bit and make more cards what basic things would you recommed, do you fold the card yourselves or use pre-fold. My draws are full of card, wrapping paper and ribbon bits
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

The cafe is pretty quiet these days, yeah. :(

I would imagine if there is a hold up it is with Royal Mail - as The Glitter Pot seem to be one of the fastest dispatchers. I put in a big order with Mad About Cards over a week ago, with loads of stuff - so I know how it feels! It was finally dispatched today and due tomorrow - when I'm at work!

Popkins - congrats on getting a commission - it shows that people really love your creations!! Its a shame though that you wont be able to do them - but its better to say "no" rather than agree to make them and then get stressed because you don't have the time.

Glittermum - that heart mobile is gorgeous - where did you get the supplies from! I can't wait to see what you make.

Marg - I don't think your "disaster" card is a disaster at all - I think it looks really pretty - I love the purple!!! Your KISS cards are fab - the flowers are really pretty.
