Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Its started to melt here in Nottingham, but the roads were so slippery again this morning. Meaning a usual 5 minute car journey took 30 minutes :(

ouch thats a bit of a long 5 min journey! its quite clear by us but it's meant to snow again everywhere tonight/tomorrow, really fed up with it all now

For sticking most things for me its PVA or pritt stick (can't seem to get on that well with dstape:confused:) Anything fiddly like a flower or bow of a ribbon a dab of glue dot does the trick and little foam pads if I want something to have a 3D effect. (hope that helps)

    super cards as always..........:T

Done nothing today...........can''t think what sort of paper to put on cards for notelets for my son......
Intended small shopping trip this morning but stomach sort of exploded :eek:so thought best to not risk it.........waiting not to see if there'll be prescription for OH to pick up from GP at 3pm -if there is............it better work !
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I emailed them and they responded saying they would throw some more in when I ordered next. :/ Not sure I will be ordering again. I'm not sure what to do. I do really like the designs though, so might just use those bits for smaller things. But it is annoying!

Well personally I would call them, tell them that you would like to return it. At the end of the day if you are not happy with it then you shouldn't have to pay for it. Alternatively tell them that as they have offered to send you some more when you order next ask them to send this as compensation as you are seriously considering not ordering from them again!
Tomsmum Heres my entry for you challenge. It was a great challenge. I wanted to keep costs to low/ free. Using abit of ribbon, a card blank and a freebie from a magazine. Well we all buy lots of card magazines for inspiration. But im sure that lots of us just leave the freebie papers inside and dont actually use them. I know im guilty of this ;)http://itsnotterrysitschoccys.blogspot.com/2010/01/mse-tomsmums-challenge.html

Lou05 I love stamping. I find it relaxing. Nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa with promarkers in hand to colour my noseless stamps :)

jazabelle I think i can say my best purchase has been my stayzon ink pad. I bought it back in March at the NEC ( Thanks furrypig for convincing me to buy one) I use it alot. I still have the same pad. Ooh and acrylic block that i bought for £2. Again thats a stamping thing. I have so many favorites that i use time and time again , its hard to pinpoint just one thing.. :) For card blanks try craftwork cards. All of theirs are super quality and lots of us use them.

Lei/ Rusty Do you know if the rubber trick will work for 'sticky' stamps ? I bought a Lily and Milo stamp and its soooo sticky. No amount of inking will get it to print right. Ive never known anything like it. Its such a cute stamp, but its nearly been in the bin at least 3 times over the last few days !

Choccy - BEautiful card hun ;) love it ... and so does missy ... she pointed at every cat  and left sticky fingers on my screen!! still at least she has stopped whinging about her leg which still needs amputating I might add :rotfl: xxx
As for the stamp, I would give it a go personally as you won't know unless you try and if it doesn't work then at least you tried. If it doesn't work then email the company and tell them it is sticky and no matter what you do to use it that it simply won't print a clear image!! or should I say stamp!

I don't have it rusty but was just wondering about ordering from the US, as I've never done it before but have seen a few bits recently I'd wished I'd bought off there. Can you still pay by paypal? and can you pay straightaway or do you have to wait for an invoice so they can charge your shipping correctly etc?

I order bits and bobs from ebay all the time, I order from all over the world aswell and generally don't have a problem. I have emailed the seller of that stamp as I ordered 2 more from her and I have asked her to combine the shipping for me. 9 times out of 10 on an ebay auction they will state the postage to the UK if they ship here, order more than one item from there and if you ask nicely they will generally combine shipping. Never ordered from a website out of the UK though so can't help with that but then I guess that is where you have to think about tax etc? I have never had a problem though! :) Oh and I always pay by paypal ;) a lot of sellers outside the UK and those of us who are happy to ship to those who don't live in the UK (me included) state paypal only for bidders outside the UK :D

Tomsmum - please don't show me pretty flowers!! .... I shouldn't be spending but they are very nice  do I or don't I? how much is silicone glue? :rotfl:

Oh no :( not more white stuff :( My hill is like a ski run as it is :rotfl:

Todays journey was better than yesterday took just under an hour yesterday :o So its getting better :rotfl:. So many cars having to be pushed as they were stuck trying to get up small hills. Police closed a few little roads around here yesterday too. I really think this country needs to get itself geared up for snow in the future.

    Really lovely Choccy.

Agree about the Stazon ink pad. I always used to stamp with pigment ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Now I much prefer Stazon.

Have you tried sticky tape? I always get a length of sticky tape and press it all over the rubber before I use a new stamp. There seems to be some kind of coating on new stamps and you'll see it on the sticky tape when you lift it off, you get the "impression" of the stamp on it.

Crikey, I've sat here all morning on the computer, my friend came for a cuppa and wanted me to order some crafty stuff for her (she doesn't have a computer), so I found some stuff I "needed" too :rotfl: . I really must get on and clean the bathroom. OH has a hospital appt today, having some treatment as well as his checks, and he should be home late afternoon. Good job I prepped the veggies for the spag sauce last night, one less job to do so just a quick cook up to get it ready for tea.

Just had an email about DCWV papers which are cheap

Craft superstore here!! Now I need to find some money from somewhere to buy some :rotfl:

Choccy - this country wouldn't be so bad if people learned to drive properly and kitted themselves out for snow!! ... it aint rocket science, if the roads are icy/snowy then drive slow using low gears to stop wheel spin, if you start to go then just pray for the best that you have a soft landing .... oh and don't use the car unless it is an emergency!!

Blogged son-of mine's birthday card here

Had a mare of a day, to cut a very long story short by 9am I was wet, in floods of tears and the dog had escaped....

...sounds a lot like Eastenders...well a more upbeat one ;)

*hugs* to those who need them and ninja *hugs* to Tricia and Carmen who always manage to keep me sliding fast into a dark hole by their emails *mmmmmwah* to you both!

...I'll try to read some of the 10 thousand pages I have missed later- going to try to get a bit of rest in before Little Myz gets home from school

    xxxxxxx
    :j A-well-a bird, bird, bird...b-bird's the word :j
  • Tomsmum Will try sticky tape before the talc ;) I will get this stamp to work :)

I've also got some Card Candy on order, I saw it on a card someone on here has on their blog (sorry, can't remember who, I've seen so many cards) and it looks as good as brads without the legs.

Whoever used Card Candy, can you tell me what you used to stick them on with please?

Never heard of card candy before. Are they flat backed? I would use tiny glue dots if they are. Glue is too fiddly.

My craft superstore stuff was despatched last Tuesday! So it's Royal Mail to blame :( They've asked me to contact them again if I don't receive it by Friday.

Any Digital Scrapbookers here? Can anyone recommend a company to print a bounded digital scrapbook?
