Thanks everyone re. glue etc - I'm going to order a couple of bits to try now (feel like I'm spending a fortune at the moment ... never had so much coloured card lol!)

While I'm ordering bits ... can anyone tell me what they best purchase/what they cant do without is please?!

So far, all's I have is the cricut, a few cartridges and a job lot of coloured cards and papers (only a few patterned ones thou).

I just got my order from Payper Box today. Has anyone ordered the 100 mixed bag for £10 before? Quite a few of the bits of paper had weird marks on it, one had a grease stain. They sent two packs, and both had a large proportion of white in it. I mean, some white is fine, but it seems they bulk it out with white. I could have gone to Tesco or something for plain paper.

The designs are gorgeous though, some really lovely bits!

Lou05 - I've only made five cards, but I love the scalloped squares/circles/hearts whatever shape. It gives a nice background to put something on, without spending ages cutting it out!

I can't live without my cuttlebug & nesties, they are expensive though!! .... if you would like I can send you some stamped images for you to have a play with and colour in? saves the expense of buying stamps etc? let me know.

Ouch that doesn't seem good, give them a ring and tell them about it. Ask them if it is normal?

I've just got into ribbons , I love spotty at the moment. Also flowers. I've had a craft delivery this morning :j and I ordered some Prima E Line Flowers, they're lovely. I got the brights and I also got white so that I can colour them whatever I want.

I've also got some Card Candy on order, I saw it on a card someone on here has on their blog (sorry, can't remember who, I've seen so many cards) and it looks as good as brads without the legs.

Whoever used Card Candy, can you tell me what you used to stick them on with please?

Just to add to the glue recommendations, silicone glue should be good for flowers, swirl a bit of silicone on, push the flower in and when it hardens it should be stuck OK. The Glitter Girls do that a lot with theirs but you'd need to make sure none of the silicone shows.

ETA: When I said silicone for flowers, I was thinking about these types of flowers not the flatter Prima ones I mentioned further up.

As well as Rusty's offer of sending you some images, google for free digital stamps which you can print off and play with.

I emailed them and they responded saying they would throw some more in when I ordered next. :/ Not sure I will be ordering again. I'm not sure what to do. I do really like the designs though, so might just use those bits for smaller things. But it is annoying!

  • Tomsmum Heres my entry for you challenge. It was a great challenge. I wanted to keep costs to low/ free. Using abit of ribbon, a card blank and a freebie from a magazine. Well we all buy lots of card magazines for inspiration. But im sure that lots of us just leave the freebie papers inside and dont actually use them. I know im guilty of this ;)http://itsnotterrysitschoccys.blogspot.com/2010/01/mse-tomsmums-challenge.html

Lou05 I love stamping. I find it relaxing. Nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa with promarkers in hand to colour my noseless stamps :)

jazabelle I think i can say my best purchase has been my stayzon ink pad. I bought it back in March at the NEC ( Thanks furrypig for convincing me to buy one) I use it alot. I still have the same pad. Ooh and acrylic block that i bought for £2. Again thats a stamping thing. I have so many favorites that i use time and time again , its hard to pinpoint just one thing.. :) For card blanks try craftwork cards. All of theirs are super quality and lots of us use them.

Lei/ Rusty Do you know if the rubber trick will work for 'sticky' stamps ? I bought a Lily and Milo stamp and its soooo sticky. No amount of inking will get it to print right. Ive never known anything like it. Its such a cute stamp, but its nearly been in the bin at least 3 times over the last few days !

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Its started to melt here in Nottingham, but the roads were so slippery again this morning. Meaning a usual 5 minute car journey took 30 minutes :(
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D

I don't have it rusty but was just wondering about ordering from the US, as I've never done it before but have seen a few bits recently I'd wished I'd bought off there. Can you still pay by paypal? and can you pay straightaway or do you have to wait for an invoice so they can charge your shipping correctly etc?
