Mary op – keeping all crossed for you and at least it wasn’t bad news. Sending you lots of positive thoughts.

alyssa_liss – where are you getting your Promarkers from. My mum is giving me £40 for Christmas and I am thinking of buying some more.

Flour girl – well done. I needed to lose a half pound last week to have lost a stone but sadly a pound found me instead (had a bad week at work and ate to prove it). So I now need a pound and half on Saturday not giving myself much hope though for that. Mind you when I started I just wanted half a stone by Christmas so I am still well over that.

As for quality Streets guess what Mum in law has bought us for Christmas. Why did I think her going to class with me would make a difference this year lol. My logic is if its eaten on Christmas Day it doesn’t count – well it won’t in our house.

I thought Paddingtondoo (can I shorten this to Padster or Paddington as well please) was talking about the mints as well.

Am jealous of your snowy pictures as it has been snowing on and off all day here but none has settled. But on a positive it can do what it wants now as apart from two half days next week I have finished work until Jan 4th so no more school runs Yippee

Padingtondoo – if you come to S!!!!horpe you can always call in here for a coffee

Frankie and Bennies is lethal on WW the main I like is 24 and a ½ points on its own nearly a day points for me and possibly the reason for putting on last week as the Sunday before we had been to Hobbycraft at Hull and called there for lunch and I had every intention of being good. We are taking mum there for Christmas Eve lunch so she can have her Christmas lunch as its stew and dumplings (WW recipe) here for Christmas dinner followed by white choc bread and butter pudding (def not WW friendly)

Wifey – sorry to hear about your fall hope you are okay now

NPS – congrats on your news that it’s a girl

Rusty – thanks for the snowy widget love it

Look who wandered in out of the cold this afternoon :rotfl::rotfl:. You can just about see the almost horizontal snow behind them.

Virtual chocolate cake on my blog - I've been tormented by cooking smells all day and I'm not allowed to eat any of it coz it's for OH's meeting tomorrow

Nannyboo - you can call me what you like (within reason) - I have no idea why I picked such a long username came on here originally 2 years ago to save money on our wedding and haven't been able to get off since and have probably spent a lot more than what I saved on craft stuff:rotfl:.

Wifey - hope you're ok and don't have black eyes and that you don't ache too much in the morning. Good news about the BA strike though - see news flash [STRIKE]left[/STRIKE] right (thicky :p) >>>>

Good news for me from the hospital - I've been discharged my shoulder blade is now normal (at least one bit of me is ;)) although I still have to keep up with my exercises to stop it collapsing again :T

Hello all :j You have been busy..........lovely stuff all of you.
Not been idle myself............got my 'twig tree' done............swapped the twisted willow branch for a bit of our dogwood bush.........but sturdier. Took me an age to thread the dried orange slices and chillies and put them here and there on it. Anyway, it's done now..........stuck it in some oasis in a terracotta pot and filled round it with pebbles and some gold sprayed nuts out of some pot pouri I'd got. Looks ok................heaven help anyone who knocks it over............:rotfl:
Got a door hanger done for the foster lad who's calling tomorrow (weather permitting!). Managed to do it out of card and found enough bits and pieces to put on it for him then made a gift bag to put it in -makes it look better than it really is...............
Oh and did a flannel reindeer that I kept forgetting about......................lol:rotfl:

Thats my lot now..............far as I can remember anyway unless I find something else I've forgotten about:rotfl:

Just been updating my blog ,Padster, I followed your advice and made my own - forgot to take a picture of it open, but it is trifold with the money in the centre part, and then the right hand side is cut at an angle and then fastens with ribbon - iykwim!?! Quite chuffed with myself though - not normally good at that sort of thing. Also your hubbys cake looks lovely - he's a natural!!
Wife - good news about BA - hopefully it wont affect your plans!
Mary - dont suppose you have asked Santa for a digital camera have you - would love to see all your makes - they always sound fab!!

Ooh forgot to mention got a late delivery of some pro-markers - I went for the Summer pack from Joanna Sheen - yay - off for a little colour!!

Hello, blimey time is going sooo quickly!!! I've made 30 snowmen fairy cakes for DS2's preschool for their Christmas party tomorrow . They are fairy cakes with white icing and a marshmallow on top (snowman's head), face details iced on and a strawberry lace for a scarf. Saw the idea in a book or magazine somewhere? I am usually ok as making cakes but carp at icing so just going to say DS2 helped me make them as some of the snowmen have VERY weird expressions on their faces. Hope the kiddies still want to eat them ;)

Thank you so much for the beautiful cards I've received xxx

TheWife, sorry to hear about your fall, hope you are ok and taking it easy. I fell over the other day - ended up sprawled across the driveway, managed to save my face but in doing to hurt my neck  Hope you found the anniversary card you made.

Flourgirl, no idea what happened to the stamp on your card, I certainly paid for one at the PO ;)

Npsmama, fab baby news :D All through my second pregnancy I was certain DS2 was a girl and they couldn't tell us the sex at the 20 week scan due to how he was laying. We had a girl's name chosen and no boy name as I was so certain and I was slightly shocked that he was a boy when he was born :p

Mary, sorry you didn't hear the news you wanted at the hospital. I think you should both try and relax and enjoy Xmas and think about the next appointment in the new year (very easy for me to say I know). If the docs were concerned they would be doing more investigation now.

Choccy, sorry to hear you are poorly, hope you get lots of rest and look after yourself xxx

Sorry I've been carp keeping up with blogs this last week or so, will try harder once I'm a bit more sorted ;)
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
  • Just time to pop on and say a huge thank you to Whoopidoo for the lovely presents that arrived today - they now have pride of place under my tree!

May actually have a bit of time tonight so will try and catch up on some posts and blogs.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
rainmac - I'm sure you're right.........anything urgent and the 'boffin' wouldn't dare leave it too long. OH is going to get stocked up with painkillers (just in case -though he's not needed them as often as when all this started) and try and forget about it over christmas.

ali -no..........haven't asked for digi camera...........don't think I'd fathom how to use one......................lol
I'm going to take photos with ordinary one and send some to rainmac (hope thats ok)-if they come out half way decent this time.

marg - you mentioned OH putting his feet up when he sits down...........well he sort of curls up on the sofa (so do I, bit like bookends we are............lol) but don't think thats the same is it. I'll drop a hint to him.........

hugs ((((((((:o))))))) for all those who need them -keep forgetting by the time I've read through the posts:confused:

Rainmac your snowman cakes sound gorgeous, do you have a photo? The magic elves delivered me another stampless card this morning:confused: I think there is a phantom stamp nicker in our sorting office lol

Nannyboo Well done on your total weight loss so far:T I only get 18 points so have to be careful, I usually have a loss if I stick to 16. I think my metabolism is messed up by having crohns disease, plus I am lazy as far as excercise is concerned :)

I have a couple of birthday cards to make for the beginning of January, so might do that tonight.

Padster Good news about your shoulder, does that mean you are back on hoovering duties lol
