    I'm fine - just a bit achy.

"& son" was a star - he saw me fall and rushed over to check I was ok. Then I was ordered to sit still on the stairs whilst he went to get some kitchen roll (?????). He came back with some wet kitchen roll and told me that would reduce the swelling and make it feel better. Bless him.

    New card on my blog

Oh bless him, that is something my little one would do too.

Fab card on your blog, the colours work really well together, and I too like the image. Glad the minstrels made it out to your sister, I bet she really enjoyed them.

    Have a restful weekend.

Thank you CT1972 & Dawnteabag for asking & answering the questions I had about those dies:beer:
I've just been on the phone for an hour & a half to my friend who needed a chat & when I came back all was done for me. Thank you!

Rainmac - In case you pop on here before you go tomorrow - Hope you have a wonderful time.

What a lovely thoughtful son you have DTB. Is he a cubscout?

I've got loads of family stuff to do this weekend :(So, barring a miracle there'll be no crafting or chatting on here 'til Sunday:(

No - he's a member of the Boys Brigade. Family tradition. My Gran used to run the anchors section at her church so she was soo proud when he joined.

hope you have a lovely weekend!

DTB - I bet your Gran was proud - My Dad was in Boys Brigade in the 1920's but I don't think they have them round here! I think both organisations give the youngsters who join a good grounding for life. (gets off soapbox)

I think they're still around all over the country but have nowhere near as many children go as used to "when I was a lass" (altho quite obviously I was in the girls brigade not the boys). I agree it's a shame so few children get to take part now and think society is the poorer for it - I'm off the soapbox now if anyone else wnats to borrow it.

That said, they let girls join the boys brigade now - I suspect partly because in some churches they don;t have enought members to run two separate organisations.

speaking of scabby B plates - when is the right time to replace it? I only use 1 for cutting (bar one accident I had when I cut into my C plate by mistake!) and its quite bent and no longer very transparent. do I just wait until it stops cutting or snaps or what? I have googled but can't seem to find any advice that way
  • I've had my scabby warped B plate for just over a year and as it still works fine I'm not going to replace it yet. I replaced my sidekick plate coz I managed to snap one somehow and although it worked got fed up with it flapping about (they have a plastic thing in the middle I think)

Is really up to you Gemma although mine has started to leave an impression of the scabby bits on the back of my card so may invest in new ones shortly - will dump the scabby one and keep one of the pair as a replacement for the next scabby one iykwim :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Yay! Thanks Craftygranny for my package - its glittertastic. That black a5 is amazing. I just sat and watched it shimmer for a good 5 mins this morning. I promise to put it all to good use.
    Thanks again - you're a star!
