Hello all - busy lot as usual :j Unlike me................. Just couldn't get on today. Young girl came to hoover and do kitchen floor for me and had doctors appt.this afternoon to see if he could sort my irritating cough out................thankfully its not on my chest but got some antibiotics that should clear it up -with those, lemon and honey, throat sweets, vic vapour rub and some cough medicine surely it'll disappear ? Better had cos I'm right fed up with it.
Did attempt some more little 'primitive' hearts but one lot of material frayed all round the edges..........started again with new lot.......(yet another piece of kitchen curtain.................lol) but only got half way through when it was time for appt.
On top of all that, me and OH got up really early for delivery of half a lamb........supposed to arrive 7.30am - eventually it was 9am..........could have had a lie in
Then OH gets a letter from hospital dated 20th November telling him about his appt. he's just had
Nearly fell out his chair.............. So don't know whether it was delayed in the post or secretary covering herself and dating it 20th Nov so least we can't say we weren't told. Just makes me think...........if I hadn't rung up and kicked off last Friday OH could well have missed this weeks appt.

Tomsmom - I do feel for you and my thoughts and best wishes are with you.............I do hope all goes well............I've been so wrapped up in my own little world of problems I forget that there are others who need shed loads of positive thoughts .............god bless:A

Rainmac -hope you have a great weekend :j

Keep up the crafting all of you..............keeps me motivated :j
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Thanks DTB - sorry was off ordering alphabets (yep plural)
Got alpha bubbles, baby says yeah, and man oh man - OH is out BTW :rotfl:.

Just counted my xmas pot and took £100 out to pay in the bank and put 24 back in ready for March - so didn't actually cost anything especially if I pay my card bill from OHs account :p;):D

Am trying to remember where you are I know you are near to me (terrible memory). There is the one at Tetney, One in Grimsby near Freshney place but a really small shop, used to be a good one in Brigg but not sure if it is still there and the garden centre there stock some (similar to the Range stuff) but has gone down hill recently there is also one at Goole but no idea where it is or what it is like. Are there any in Hull I know there used to be but haven't been in years. Am still trying to persuade hubby to take me to the new Hobbycraft at Hull but I have no chance this close to Christmas

hi hull has quite a few craft shops now, there is one in cottingham, one on holderness road, the range, hobbycraft. they also quite often have a max papercraft show on a sunday. hope this helps!

i'm a hull girl, called alison, i'm 28 and work in a local secondary school and i usually fit some crafting in at least once a week, but at the moment i'm not managing! i like playing wii, shopping, most music and reading. i am married but no pets or children, don't have the time or patience!

Thanks CGC had forgotten where you were - have you been to the one in Cottingham? Saw the signs when we went past the other week but didn't dare risk a roll eyes moment from OH when I requested a detour :rotfl:

Thanks for posting the link dawnteabag, I want some.

Before I order though, do these work in the cuttlebug, as that is all I have, and do I need to get anything else for it to make them work in the bug. Funny how we all want different ones, I want lipstick love letters!
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000
