  • I have had quite a good morning, I have made a few cards, I am trying to get them all done up to at least feb in case i won't get much time after bubs is here. We have so many birthdays in dec and jan but i am getting though them. I need a d.i.y background but i can't find much.

This is a big A4 card i have done for my niece. Do you think it needs something else adding to it? It looks a little plain.

Louby, that's gorgeous as it is but I can't pass up any opportunity to put a bit of ribbon on a card even if its just a very small bow. How about a teeny tiny thin ribbon bow by the flowers so it looks like a posy. But that's just me!

  • furrypig - I made the nose for my reindeer card (http://leialegweak.blogspot.com/2009/11/fold-flat-nose-reindeer-card.html) by punching about 6 circles of red card then folding them in half and sticking them back to back. In the magazine they do a similar effect with christmas trees and puddings x

Your reindeer card is absolutely fantastic :T :T :T, I love it, want to have a go at a reindeer like yours, was it Papercraft Inspirations you got the idea from?

Dragonllew, so sorry to hear you're so poorly. Really hope the double dose pills sort you out very soon xxx

Fabby cards on your blog Mrs Padster :D

Rusty, I love your decoupage easel cards, they are gorgeous :T

Having problems with the pc as OH is off work today and spilt a whole mug of tea on the keyboard and mouse

Looking forward to going to London tomorrow - Harrods, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, cakes from Hummingbird Bakery and maybe the Natural History Museum. Well, that's what I want to do, not sure about everyone else ;)

Take care and have a good weekend everyone xxx

Have a great weekend Rainmac - sounds like you are going to have a fab time.

My son (6) has just come home and needs to decorate a white paper plate with a christmas theme to hang up to decorate the school for the Christmas fair next Saturday. In the past I have done a snowman from cotton wool, santa, rudolph, and an angel, but have run out of ideas for this one.

Does anyone else have to do this, or can anyone give me some inspiration. Needs to be fairly easy so that Jack can do it.

    Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

For those who are like me, have to have loads of ribbon, here's a link to a fab blog belonging to Crafty Ribbons, pop a post on with a chance to win some ribbons. There's free postage till the end of the month and I was really pleased with the Ribbon Boxes I bought from them.

Melissa, off to Steph's Make and Take tomorrow, will let you know how it went.
