Hello everyone, good to see everyone had fun and spent lots of money at the NEC!
I've been illOne of the guys at work says he has Swine Flu, but I don't know how he would know for sure cos I thought they had stopped testing. So I might have had that.
Done absolutely no card marking. But I have joined Jamtarts scrapbook challenge and managed to find my wedding albums which I want to scrapbook up. Going to start looking online for some wedding related papers/embellishments.
Off to see Backstreet Boys tomorrow night!!
Right going to have a nosey at some blogs now.0 -
My son bought home the bear they have in class as he was 'star of the day'. That means I am back at the pc printing photos of Jack in various poses to go into the bear's diary so Jack can then write some words in the morning to go with the photos before the bear goes back to school. You should see where some parents have taken the bear . At ours he's watched telly, had toad in the hole for tea (had to set a place for him and everything) and gone to bed (had to make him his own bed on the floor). Hopefully he's been bored and won't want to come back
What none of him crafting lol:wave: Kate :hello:0 -
Rainmac my friends daughter's school do a similar thing and they had to take it on holiday!
This morning I went into the kitchen to find a flood!! the dishwasher had been on during the night and the waste pipe at the back had come out of the drain and had been emptying itself all over the kitchen floor. We managed to dry everything out during today and Philip fixed the pipe but the laminate floor is spoiled, the water has got into the seams and its lifted it a bitWe were hoping it would dry out and be ok. Looks like we will have to have a new kitchen floor
The good thing is the dishwasher is still working
Oh no, poor you!!! Least the dishwasher is still working:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Sunrise what a lovely thoughtful gift.
Mrs Tidge Slapped Cheek, I have never heard of it before but glad it wasn't anything more serious, I'm sure he will be thrilled with the lego. The flood was a bit of a nightmare but at least everything is clean!! The water had got under the washer, drier and fridge and had travelled to the other side and under the kickboard, the kitchen is back to normal now.0 -

I also got mine from craft superstore using the same code. I originally bought it for the embossing folders but then i discovered nesties.

Can i just say a big thank you to all you lovely ladies for giving me back my need to craft not sure hubby agrees though. Went to local garden centre and bought 2 mags and a bookatrix board and spent nearly £25 ouch. Worst thing is I gave so much stuff away and one of the things was a bookatrix board lol. Oh well such is life - remind me how this MSE site helps me save money again lol.
Anyway reason I want to say thank you is I have had a friendship break up and that has made me feel really down this week. Then today had good news but also upsetting. A friend of mine who has lost children previously in the early stages has recently found out she is expecting so while happy for her am also sad as hubby and I have been trying for 15 years. Well today she sent me the scan pics and she is having twins so am really happy for her but am sat in tears feeling sorry for myself ans wishing it could be me - although just one not twins.
Recently I have had to buy cards including one for my Mum which really upset me. Today I have started making a card for someone special involved in Childminding and that is thanks to you lot on here. I am making a poor man's version of a star card and then am going to try and decorate it with different things connected to her life. interesting to do as don't know her that well. The reason it is a poor man's version is because after googling the star card realised I wouldn't get one made in time to post it to the person delivering it to her. This upset me as being a typical Gemini I had this idea and nothing else would do. but have found a solution I think. Have taken some card blanks I had in and have stuck these together and have come up with something similar. haven't started to decorate it yet but think it may work.
Because you ladies have have inspired me to card make again it has kept me sane with something to concentrate on so thank you again xxxx:wave: Kate :hello:0 -

Stop it stop it please. I really really need (okay want) one of these but unfortunately cannot afford one and as hubby and I are so broke we are not buying for each other this year I can't even put it on my Christmas list (stamps foot and goes to stand and sulk in the corner) Kate :hello:0 -
