I thought I would put this up for anyone that is fundraising right now.
Some years ago I did a big fundraisng advent for Spina Bifia and raised almost £20,000 heres what I did it might help
Its all in the planning and the further in front you can do it the better
Large companies have so much each year set aside for charity work

I decided to do a snooker night, so I contacted the sports editor or the Manchester evening news (we lived in Preston at the time) who gave me the direct contact number for some snooker players, But woudl work for a football player to appear/open or just signings which you could charge £1 a time for. This might also work for a celebrity by contacting the entertainments editor. After ringing several we managed to get Silvono Fransico ( blast from the past there you can tell how long ago it was) and he agreed to do the evening
I then contated Preston football club for the room, we got that for nothing
Then I contacted several local sports shops for prizes ...we had loads of stuff donated inculde top of the range cue's
Willy Thorn donated snooker club membership and 10 lessons from him
I then contaced Airtours who donated a weeks holiday for 2 people to Spain
A printing firm donated all the tickets
These were the biggest prizes I got but had loads from local traders inc
A meal for 2 at a local restraunt
    A free hairdo
I got a local childminder to donate a nights babysitting
Local off liecense donated a case of champers
Asda donated a £20 shopping voucher
Preston Northend the room as I said before and 2 tickets to a match and signed shirts and football not very glamours team but signed things can be got from other clubs as well, I have had stuff donated from my local team ( west brom) up to Man U...easier if you know one of the stewards or know someone that knows someones lol
Riley the table and setting it up as well as a cue and case
I have bound to have missed some

The next one I did was an auction night and the same again I planned about 10 months in advance and contacted large firms ( much easier to get stuff out of them han smaller companies) I had everything again from a meal for 2 to free flights with Virgin Atlantic and free airport parking as well as a load of other holidays and short breaks...Its been along time since I did anythign like that so all my contacted probably wouldnt be any use but one excellent company to contact is Boots they were very generous
How long have you got before your charity fundraiser? If I can help in anyway I will just give me a shout

I forgot to add ...If your contacting large firms tell them your after star prizes and contact customer relations dept
Chocolate firm are also a good call, expeciay Cadbury choccy and days out...aslo worth contacting theme parks Its low season now so that should be easy to get some free tickets

Just had another thought ( I know its rare ; ) you could contact local trades men maybe fo a voucher for a bit of free work, also you could add a voucher for 1 weeks school run or 1 weeks ironign , this would certainly make me buy raffles tickets
Contact Ryanair and see if you can buy ( or they will give) you some of the cheap flights , I think they have some 1p flights now to Dublin and ask tehm if you can leave the names off untill the prize as been won
Its certainly easy to put together a nice city break for less than £20pp inc hotel...If you need any help with this im only too happy to help
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

    :THAPPY BIRTHDAY FLOURGIRL:T

Jailhousebabe - i love heat embossing , its one of the 1st items i bought and used. I have used it for allsorts.

I didnt get a chance to catch up with the thread or blogs last night or do any crafting, why is it when i have the spare time and no nagging children, my mind goes blank. I could gets loads done at the minute but i just find myself sitting there with zero inspiration or motivation. Yet as soon as DF goes back to work theres a million ideas that pop into my head and i just dont have the time or spare hands to do anything.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
