Wow i didn't realise how many of us that would be around on friday, I thought the thread would be very quiet that's why i thought up the challenge. God pressure i hope you like it. I will post it thurday night. It is simple You should only need a pair of scissors, card, paper and embellishments like gems or feathers lol what ever tickles your fancy.

I am hoping to do some crafting today ( i really shouldn't say that it never happens) Also got a parecl for craftygranny but i am not going near a post office today. Was gonna make it coloured but my button ain't there:confused:.

Am all excited - they've just been to measure for my new windows :j:j. Has given me a right headache as we will have to empty DD's bedroom to take down her bed plus the bunk sofa bed thingy in the spare room and have no idea where we're going to put all the carp :o. Wonder if I can put a craft desk in the spare room without OH noticing :rotfl:. Not that I live in a tight knit community or anything but the guy who came to measure fitted the original windows 30 years ago when he was a boy :D:D

Louby-Lou-Lou - I think he does a lot for charity but you never really hear about it - my sister works a Great Ormond Street hospital and he came in to visit one of the kids on her ward.

Craftygranny - have you thought of contacting the local press - you might get a few more donations that way?

    Happy birthday flourgirl xx

Saveapenny - glad to hear all's going well with Harry, it sounds like you've really been through the mill these past few months. Sorry you can't make the NEC, but hope all goes well for hubby.

Craftygranny - cards are going in the post today. I'll send them 1st class, so hopefully you'll get them soon.

Melissa - you've been busy! I can't believe how expensive circle punches are - I'm tempted to get the circle nesties to go with my scalloped ones, it might work out to be a bit more flexible.

I found out yesterday that we haven't got the shop we wanted. :(
So to cheer myself up I've ordered a heat gun and tidy tray from Creative Craft World. They've got 10% off, free p&p on orders over £10, and a free pack of cards with orders (while stocks last). I've wanted to try heat embossing for ages, and this is the cheapest heat gun I've seen even before the discount.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

I'm so sorry girls I wont be able to come to the NEC on Friday I'm gutted but there's too much going on here to make it possible. I'll try for the challenge if that's OK Louby Lou Lou.

Skiergirl - Many many thanks for the offer of a lift & I haven't forgotten your 'prize' just got a bit bogged down.

Jailhousebabe - Sorry you didn't get your shop hopefully another opportunity will present itself soon. Like your consolation though! I've fancied doing that heat embossing for a while but wary of buying more stuff that I don't use.

Craftygranny - good result about the pumpkin thieves I hope they bought the chocs from their own money & the embarrassment stays with them for the rest of their lives. About cards for Alicia, do they have to be Christmas ones or general ones?

Padster - Window man should know what he's doing then!

Polly - I always fancy the topics but by the time I get to the CCC challenges they're over!

Saveapenny - hope all goes well with DH on Friday.

I realise the current challenge on here is Breast Cancer appeal cards but is there a theme/topic for them?
  • Marg - I was just glad he didn't recognise the house and turn round and drive off again :rotfl:.
That will be one thing off a very long list of renovations that the house needs and should boot me up the behind to get a bit of decluttering done - wish the posties would get themselves sorted coz I could do with listing some stuff on eBay

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday flourgirl :bdaycake:

Hope you have a great day, sounds like you had a fantastic weekend :D

Mel, thank you sooooo much for looking into punches :A I want some more sizes but going to wait until after going to the NEC with my spends, also not sure what sizes I would really like ;)

Craftygranny, it would be well worth contacting local businesses asking for raffle/auction donations to raise money for Alicia. I am 'in charge' of the raffle for DS2's preschool and it is a pain in the bum and hard work but I've had some fabby prizes so far such as 18 holes of golf for 4, overnight hotel stay, 4 tickets to watch local team, family weekend pass for a posh gym... I need loads more prizes but it's a good start.

Saveapenny, bless little Harry glad he's ok. Sorry you can't make Friday, good luck for your OH xxx
