Morning ladies
I have some fab challenges under my belt now, think it is 5 or 6 of them? maybe more.
I have been awake and out of bed a whole 28 minutes. I am going to start by making a 3 tier nappy cake then I am going to get started on the cards ....
Thanks for all your help
Flourgirl and Rainmac, can you please stop tempting me... I can't afford any of them at the minute as I am trying to save up for DS's birthday! ....
Rainmac have a lovely time at U2, If you can get back on before you go then try and take some strong ibruprofen (that occasionally helped me a little) or some paramol. Hope it doesn't spoil your fun!
This is the end of week 8 for OH which should have meant he should have been finished on his contract ... but it has been extended til end of september ... and he had a call from the agency yesterday and they seem to think it could go on longerso fingers crossed

whoo hoo glad you found your mojo again rusty. Hope you have a very productive day.
Good news for your o/h about the job too congratulations .
flourgirl i got that email too and have been trying to ignore it. lol. not really working though i can feel it calling to me. fab stitched card for the challenge i haven't tried one of those are they easier than they look?
I think my o/h is trying to kill me he asked me if i wanted to go for a drive as i haven't been feeling well lately and i said ok so we went to sheffield and he took me and kaitlyn to hobbycraft and bought me the 3 sets of promarkers i didn't have and another new stamp for kaitlyn she loves stamping and is getting good at it.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Craftgranny - 3! sets of promarkers - being killed with kindness! what a good OH.
Good news for you Rusty about OH job - I do hope it lasts - you could make him a card to celebrate! There, I knew I'd have a challenge for you today:rotfl:
Rainmac - I'd definitely get back to dentist before the weekend if I were you. My house always looks a mess as we are both untidy! OH is worse than me, at least I try to be tidy - can you see my halo?
Enjoy your concert.
My MIL hasn't been a problem until the last few years, I always counted myself very lucky - but now getting it in spades! No calls today as she's gone to day centre!
Flourgirl - your stitched card looks lush - can I ask please - the outer edge of the petals looks thicker than the rest, is it an illusion because of the variagated colour of the thread or have you done tiny 'filling in' stitches on that bit?
Off to tidy up while OH out - he's going for flying medical later this afternoon - hope he passes.0 -
Just to see if I am capable of making cards still after so long..... and also to see if I was capable of making a trifold card (my first ever!)
What do you think? shall I pack the craft stuff away now? before making any more? I quite like it, although think it is a little plain! I think this will be DS's birthday card from DD
I used bazill cardstock 12x12 and cut it in half then did the rest of it by following a picture (I didn't use the instructions. I use Basic Grey Archaic papersand card candy!

Paddington and Choccy - hope you both have fab weekends away
Rusty - fantastic news that your OHs contract has been extended, I can't believe its been 8 weeks already
marg - enjoy your day off from being a carer
Rainmac - hope you get some pain relief before you go and that you enjoy U20 -
Rusty - I love your card!! Great for boys, they don't usually want a lot stuck on do they? The dinosaur paper is super, my great nephew is into them at the moment so might look for some of that.
:jKeep going now you've started:j0 -
Skiergirl - I know  Its crazy how fast time is going!! ... keeping fingers crossed for him, he should be ok though, and if the end does come then we know we have enough money put away again to last about 8 months (bills etc) but we are still hoping for him to have a job
Marg - Thanks for the challenge :rotfl: I knew you would give me something in the endThanks for the comment on my card ... we are into dinosaurs here at the minute ... Maddison wonders round growling at anyone and everyone
I have made another Trifold card (can't show pictures cause it is one of my 2 for the CP challenge of Rainmacs.) and I am part way through a sketch which I am following ... I feel sooo pleased to be crafting again! I am even using papers which I didn't touch before cause they were so nice, but I am also looking at papers and thinking why did I waste my money on them? they are not as nice as I thought! strange though!
I would like to say a bit THANKYOU to KAITLYN. The postman dropped a lovely envelope on my floor this morning. Maddison opened it and she absolutely loves her card. I haven't had a chance to get the pic on the computer cause for some reason my card is playing up in the slot? I need to get OH to look at it when he comes home tonight. I have put Thomas's beautiful card back in the envelope for him when he comes back off holiday. Maddison will be making a card for Kaitlyn tomorrow (I would have done it today but she is due to go to bed in the next 20 minutes) and Thomas will send one when he comes home.
thankyou once again, you are a very very talented beautiful little girl!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Some of them may well have been from calico crafts as lots of us ordered loads when they reduced them all to 20p a pack! ...Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
